Safety instructions 2 1. Safety and operating instructions THIS MANUAL FORMS AN INTEGRAL PART OF THE APPLIANCE: IT MUST ALWAYS BE KEPT INTACT TOGETHER WITH THE DISHWASHER. BEFORE USING THE APPLIANCE, CAREFULL Y READ ALL THE INSTRU CTIONS CONTAINED IN THIS MANUAL.

Safety instructions 4 LEANING OR SITTING ON THE DISHWASHER DOOR WHEN OPEN MAY CAUSE THE APPLIANCE TO OVERTURN, PUTING PEOPLE AT RISK. NEVER LEAVE THE DISHW ASHER DOOR OPEN; PEOPLE MIGHT TRIP OVER IT. KNIVES OR OTHER SHARP-ENDED CO OKING UTENSILS MUST BE PLACED IN THE CUTLERY BASKET BLADE-DOWN, OR LAID HORIZONTAL IN THE TOP BASKET.
Installation instructions 5 2. Installation and hook-up Remove the polystyrene bask et retainers. Position the appliance in the desired place of installation. The back or sides of the dish washer may be placed up agai nst walls or oth er furniture units.
Installation instructions 6 CONNECTING TO THE WATER SUPPLY Connect the intake hose to a cold water suppl y with ¾” gas thread, inserting the filter A supplied with the dishwasher. Take care to screw the hose firmly into place with your h ands and then co mplete by tightening about ¼ of a turn with plier s.
Installation instructions 7 2.2 Electrical connection and precaution s CHECK THAT THE VOLTAGE AND THE FREQUE NCY OF THE MAINS MATCH THE RATINGS ON THE NAME PLATE OF THE APPLIANCE POSITIONED ON THE INNER EDGE OF THE DOOR. THE PLUG ON THE SUPPLY CORD AND THE CORRESPOND ING SOCKET OUTLET MUST BE OF THE SAME TYPE AND MEET THE REGULATIONS IN FORCE.
Installation instructions 8 Some components ar e live even with the ON/OF F button in the OFF position. Before mainte nance work on the appliance, remov e the plug or turn off the power supply at the wall switch. FOR GREAT BRITAIN ONLY: THIS APPLIANCE MUST BE E ARTHED.
User instructions 9 3. Description of the controls 3.1 Upper panel All the dishwasher c ontrols are gr ouped on t he upper panel . Switch-on, programming, switch-off etc. procedures ar e only possible when the door is open. 1 ON/OFF BUTTON Pressing this button energises the appl iance.
User instructions 10 8 ENERSAVE OPTION + EXTRA OPTION BUTTON (see “EXTRA OPTIONS” section) Press the button to enable/disable the option. 9 ENERSAVE OPTION LIGHT Illuminates to indicate that the function is activated. 10 HALF LOAD BUTTON Press this button to activate the half load wash option.

User instructions 13 NOTES AND REFERENCES Only run the soak p rogram with half loads. Options cannot be used with the soak program. The ENERSAVE option (if featured) cannot be used with soak , ultra clean , or any programs which do not include the final drying stage.
User instructions 14 3.2 Washing programs Before starting a wash ing program make su re that: • The water supply tap is open. • The correct amount of de tergent has been added to the dispenser . • The baskets have been correctly lo aded. • The spray arms ar e able to rotate freel y and without obstruction.
User instructions 15 SPREAD HALF LOAD Suitable when there ar e not many dishes to be washed, it saves energy and reduces the progr am duration. Place dishes in both baskets then load the detergent dispens er than less than the normal amount for a full load.
User instructions 16 CANCELLING THE CURRENT PROGRAM • To cancel the currently selected program, o pen the door and hol d down the PROGRAM SELECTION (3) button for a few seconds until the indicator lights for programs 4 and 5 illuminate simultaneously (the word "end " is displayed on the window).

User instructions 18 4. Operating instructions Once the dishwash er has been correctly i nstalled, prepare for use as follows: • Adjust the water softening system; • Add the regenerating salt; • Add the rinse aid an d detergent.
User instructions 19 • Do not use table salt as it contai ns insoluble substanc es which, over time, may damage the water softening system. • When necessary, refill the regen erating salt container before starting the washing pr ogram .

User instructions 21 ADDING THE RINSE AID The rinse aid he lps the dishes dry faster and prevents the formation of scale deposits and staining; it is automatically add ed to the water during the final rinse c ycle, from the container situated on the inner side of the door.
User instructions 22 ADDING THE DETERGENT To open the detergent dispe nser cap, lightly press the button P . Add the detergent an d close the cap carefully.
User instructions 23 The introductio n of detergent into th e rinse aid dispenser, even in liquid form, will damage the dishwasher. 4.3 General warnings and recommendations Before using the dishw asher for the first time, it is advis able to read the following recomme ndations concer ning dish types to b e washed an d their loading.
User instructions 24 WARNING! • Make sure that the dishes ar e securely in pla ce so that they cannot tip over or obstruct the rotation of the spray arms duri ng the washing cycle. • Do not place very small obje cts in the baskets as these c ould fall and obstruct the spray arms or the wash pump.
User instructions 25 4.4 Using the baskets The dishwasher has a ca pacity of 13 place-settings , inc luding serving dishes. LOWER BASKET The lower basket receives the full force o f the lower spray arm, and should therefore be use d for the “t oughest” items with a heavier degree of soiling.
User instructions 26 LOADING THE LOWER BASKET Carefully load flat plates, soup plates, d essert and serving dis hes, positioning them vertically. Pots, pans and their covers m ust be loaded upside down. When l oading soup plat es and dessert bo wls, be sure to leave a gap bet ween them.
User instructions 27 CUTLERY BASKET The basket has removable top grids into which items of cutlery should be inserted to keep them properl y spaced and all ow water to pass between them effectivel y. The top grids and central li d are in the bag of accessories .
User instructions 28 UPPER BASKET It is recommended to load the upp er basket with small- or medium-size d items such as glass es, small plates , tea or coffee cups, shallo w bowls and light objec ts made from heat resi sta nt plastic.
User instructions 29 Depending on the mode ls, the basket may be equipped with some or all of the following accessories: - Supports for cups or long ob jects (ladles, spoons…), on the left; can be tipped to the vertical position when not in use. - Long-stemmed glass holder, on the left; to use, simply lift and fix onto the hooks provided.
User instructions 30 ADJUSTING THE UPPER BA SKET The height of the top basket can be a djusted to allo w large dishes or pans to be placed in the bottom basket. The adjustment procedure may be type A or B , depending on the dishwasher model purchased.
User instructions 31 5. Cleaning and maintenance Before carrying out any work, always unplug the appliance from the electrical s upply or switch off the all-pol e disconnect ion device. 5.1 General warnings and recommendations Avoid the use of acidic or abrasi ve detergents.
User instructions 32 CLEANING THE FILTER UNIT • It is advisable to periodically inspect the centre filter C and, if necessary, to clean it. To remove the filter, grip th e tabs, turn them anticlockw.
User instructions 33 BEFORE STARTING THE DISHWASHER AFTER PROLONGED DISUSE: • Check that there are no deposits of sludge or rust insid e the water pipe: if there are, allow the water to run fro m the water supp ly tap for a few minutes. • Plug the power cord back into the socket.
User instructions 34 If the dishes fail to dry or remain dull, check that: • there is rinse aid inside the special c ontainer; • the rinse aid dispenser setting is correct; • the detergent used is of good quality and has n ot lost its effectiveness (for example, through incorre ct storage, with the box left open).
User instructions 35 6. T roubleshooting The dishwasher is able to indicate a s eries of malfunctions by illuminating a numb er of lights simultaneo usly (see key b elow); “E” or “Err” (d epending on the m odel) also appear s on the display i n the event of a malfunction.
