About this Document This manual is intended for administrators and users of AXIS Q6045 Mk II PTZ Dome Network Camera, and is applicable to rmware 5.55 and later . AXIS Q6045 Mk II PTZ Dome Network Camera Access the Product To prevent network eavesdropping, the root password can be set via an encrypted HTTPS connection, which requires an HTTPS certicate. HTTPS (Hypertext Transfer Protocol over SSL) is a protocol used to encrypt trafc between web browsers and servers.
AXIS Q6045 Mk II PTZ Dome Network Camera Access the Product The product’s fans are controlled by the ambient temperature and are turned on and off automatically . If required, the fans can be activated manually by clicking the Fan button. T o show the button, go to Setup > Live View Cong .
AXIS Q6045 Mk II PTZ Dome Network Camera Access the Product Speaker button — Click to turn the speakers on or off. Microphone button – Click to mute or unmute the microphone. In Simplex - speaker only mode , the Microphone and T alk buttons must both be active to send audio to the Axis product.
AXIS Q6045 Mk II PTZ Dome Network Camera Access the Product P an and Tilt bars – Use the arrows to pan and tilt the camera view , or click on a position on the bar to steer the camera view to that position. Zoom bar – Use the arrows to zoom in and out, or click on a position on the bar to zoom to that position.

AXIS Q6045 Mk II PTZ Dome Network Camera Media Streams The AMC Control P anel can be used to congure various video and audio settings. Please see the AXIS Media Control User’s Manual for more information. The AMC Control Panel is automatically installed on rst use, after which it can be congured.

AXIS Q6045 Mk II PTZ Dome Network Camera Set Up the Product Set Up the Pr oduct The Axis product can be congured by users with administrator or operator rights. To open the product’s Setup pages, click Setup in the top right-hand corner of the Live View page.

AXIS Q6045 Mk II PTZ Dome Network Camera Video and Audio For quick setup, use one of the predened stream proles. Each predened prole has a descriptive name, indicating its purpose. If required, the predened stream proles can be modied and new customized stream proles can be created.

This can affect the image quality by for example, increasing image contrast. Also, too much brightness can negatively impact the image quality when defog is active.

Enter a descriptive name. 4. Specify the pause length between runs. 5. Click to start recording the P an/Tilt/Zoom movements.

When using a joystick (or emulating one with the mouse) the Enable proportional speed setting can be used to reduce the maximum pan/tilt movement speed, i.
AXIS Q6045 Mk II PTZ Dome Network Camera PTZ (Pan Tilt Zoom) Control Queue The administrator can set up a queue for PTZ controllers from PTZ > Control Queue . Once set up, the PTZ Control Queue buttons appear in the Live View page offering one viewer exclusive control for a limited period of time.
AXIS Q6045 Mk II PTZ Dome Network Camera Detectors Detectors Shock Detection Enable Shock Detection from the Detectors menu. Shock detection is used, for example, to generate an alarm if the product is hit by an object. Use the Shock sensitivity slider to adjust the sensitivity level at which the product should send an alarm upon being hit.

AXIS Q6045 Mk II PTZ Dome Network Camera Detectors 1. Choose Area of interest from the drop-down list. Set the virtual area to detect if an object has disappeared from this area of interest. Important When conguring Object size the view shall be zoomed out to Wide position.
AXIS Q6045 Mk II PTZ Dome Network Camera Detectors 3. Use the Sensitivity slidebar to dene how sensitive the detection should be. The lower sensitivity selected on the Sensitivity bar , the greater difference in luminance is needed between the object and the background for the detector to be activated.
AXIS Q6045 Mk II PTZ Dome Network Camera Detectors 2. Choose Object size from the drop-down list. Set the size limits of the object that should be detected. The camera will detect any object whose size falls in between the minimum (blue shape) and maximum (white shape) range.

Applications add functionality to the product, for example video analytics and intelligent video capabilities such as recognition, tracking, detection and counting.

AXIS Q6045 Mk II PTZ Dome Network Camera Events Events The Event pages allow you to congure the Axis product to perform actions when different events occur . For example, the product can start a recording or send an email notication when motion is detected.
AXIS Q6045 Mk II PTZ Dome Network Camera Events - Live Stream Accessed – Trigger the rule when any stream is accessed and during edge storage playback. This can for example be used to send notications. - Motion Detection – Trigger the rule when motion is detected.
AXIS Q6045 Mk II PTZ Dome Network Camera Events - Recurrence – Trigger the rule periodically . See Set Up Recurrences on page 45 . This can for example be used to upload an image every 5 minutes. - Use Schedule – Trigger the rule according to the selected schedule.
