43 Instructions for the user 5. BEFORE INSTALLATION Do not discard packing in the home environment. Separate the various waste materials and take them to the neare st special garbage co llection centre. In order to remove all manufacturing residue s, we recommend you to clean the appliance.
44 Instructions for the user 6. USING THE HOB 6.1 Gas hob Bef ore li ghting the hob bur ners, chec k that the flame-spreader crowns are correctly in place with their respective b ur ner caps, making sure that the holes A in the flame-spreaders are aligned with the plugs and ther mocouples.
45 Instructions for the user 6.2 Practical tips f or using the burner s For better burner efficiency and to minimise gas consumption, use pans with a flat, smooth base and a lid that have a suitable size for the burner , thus preventing the flames reachin g the sides of the pan (see point "6.
46 Instructions for the user 6.4 Glass ceramic hob The appliance has tw o cooking zones of various power levels and d iameters. The positions are cle arly indicated by circl es and the heat is concentrate d withi n the diameters traced on the hob.

48 Instructions for the user The adjustment of the b arbeque hot plate's power i s done using the control knob, tu rning it to the desired position between 1 and 9 . The adjustment is gra dual so all the intermedia te zones can be used. The indicator light comes on to indicate that the plate is heating up.
49 Instructions for the user 6.6.1 Some good frying tips The level of oil in the basin must always be between 3 litres (minimum amount indicated inside the basin) and 3.5 litres (maximum amount indicated inside the basin). The resi stance cannot operate in the open air: it must always be immersed in the oil or fat.
50 Instructions for the user 6.6.2 When the fryi ng is finished The basket containing the fried food can be left to "drain" before tipping out the contents. Y ou can d o this by hanging it using the specific hooks on the upper part of the resistance as shown in the figure to the side.

This system lets the bu rner operate at maximum power for a time that is proportional to the selected power . T o start the heating accelerator , turn the knob to the left, select the “ A ” position and release.
53 Instructions for the user 6.7.4 Cookware Appliances of this type require spec ial cookware to be able to work. In fact, the co okware must have an iron or steel/iron bottom to generate the magnetic field necessary for it to be heated up.

58 Instructions for the user 7.3 Cleaning the glass ceramic hob The glass ceramic hob shoul d be regularl y cleaned, preferab ly after ev er y use, once the residual heat warning lights hav e gone off. Smudges from aluminiu m-based pans can be easily cleaned off with a cloth dampened in vinegar .

Danger of burns! 7.5 Cleaning t he deep fat fryer As well as following the instructions in paragraph “7 .1 Cleaning stainless steel” there are a few considerati ons need to be made rega rding the cleaning of the basin.
60 Instructions for the inst aller 8. INST ALLING THE APPLIANCE 8.1 P ositioning in the counter top This is a cat. 3 appliance. The follo wing operation requires building and/or car pentry work, th eref ore it must be carried out by a skilled technician.
