AXIS Q60 35 PTZ Dome Network Camer a A ccessing the pr oduct Access from the Internet Once connected, the Axis product is accessible on your local net work (LAN). To access the product from the Internet you must con fi gure your network router to allow incoming data traf fi c to the product.

Capture mode is set the fi rst time the pro duct is accessed.
AXIS Q60 35 PTZ Dome Network Camer a A ccessing the pr oduct The Play button connects to the Axis product and starts playing a media stream. The Stop button stops the video stream. The Snapshot button takes a snapshot of the video image. The location where the image is saved can be speci fi ed in the AMC Control Panel.

Click Setup in the top right-hand corner of t h eL i v eV i e wp a g e . • Administrators have unrestricted access to all sett ings.
AXIS Q60 35 PTZ Dome Network Camer a Video and A udio Video and Audio The video and audio settings can be used to optimize video and audi o quality. You can con fi gure the following settings: • Video stream. See page 15 . •S t r e a m p r o fi les.
AXIS Q60 35 PTZ Dome Network Camer a Video and A udio H.264 The GOV structure describes the composition of the video stream a nd setting the GOV-length to a higher value saves considerably on bandwidth but may have an adv erse e ffect on image quality.
AXIS Q60 35 PTZ Dome Network Camer a Video and A udio White balance White balance is used to make colors in the im age appear the same regardless of the color tem perature of the light source. The Axis product can be set to automatically identify the light source and c ompensate for its color.
AXIS Q60 35 PTZ Dome Network Camer a Video and A udio Overlay image An overlay image can be us ed to provide extra information, o r to mask a part of the video image. To use your own image, such as a logo, fi rst upload the image to t he Axis product.

Audio Input An external microphone or a line source can be connected to the product’s Audio-in connector. Con fi gure the audio input settings under Video & Audio > Audio Settings .
AXIS Q60 35 PTZ Dome Network Camer a Video and A udio Audio Clips An audio clip is a sound fi le that can be pla yed either when a n event occurs or manually from the Live View page. Audio clips can be uploaded to the product or recorded by a microphone connected to the product.

The Axis product uses the coordinates o f the center of the view to set the lower left and upper right zone areas. First navigate to where you wou ld like the lowermost left point of the OSDI zone to be located.
AXIS Q60 35 PTZ Dome Network Camer a PTZ (P an T ilt Zoom) 4. Guard Tour — A guard tour (see page 25 ) has PTZ control for an inde fi nite period of time. It may be overridden by an operator, event or administrator. The guard tour will r esume when higher priority groups leave the queue.

For mo re information, go to www.axis.com/applications To upload an application, go to Applications > Packages , click Browse to locate the fi le an d then click Upload Package .

AXIS Q60 35 PTZ Dome Network Camer a Ev e n t s Gatekeeper The Gatekeeper monitors an area such as an entrance gate. It can pan, tilt and zoom in, and take a snapshot of, for example, a face, triggered by mo vement in the area. The camera will then a uto matically return to the home position and continue to overview the monitored area.

To prevent the disk from becoming full, it is recommended to enable automatic disk cleanup under System Options > Storage .
AXIS Q60 35 PTZ Dome Network Camer a System Options System Options Security Users User access control is enabled by default and can be con fi gured under System Options > Security > Users . An administrator can set up other users by giving t hem user names and passwords .
AXIS Q60 35 PTZ Dome Network Camer a System Options To access a network protected by IEEE 802.1X, devices must auth enticate themselves. The authentication is perfo rmed by a third-party entity called an authenti cation server, typically a RADIUS se rver , examples of which are FreeR ADIUS and Microsoft Internet Authentication Service.
AXIS Q60 35 PTZ Dome Network Camer a System Options • Synchronize with computer time sets date and time according to t he computer’s clock. With this option, date and time are set once and will not be updated automatically. • Synchronize with NTP Server o btains date and time from an NTP server.
AXIS Q60 35 PTZ Dome Network Camer a System Options AVHS is enabled by defa ult. The settings are con fi gured under System Options > Network > TCP IP > Basic . One-click enabled - Press the product’s control button (see Hardware overview , on page 4 ) to connect to an AVHS service over the Internet.

A multi-connector cable (available fro m Axis) is required when connecting external devi ces, see Multi-Connector Cable (sold separately), on page 48 .
AXIS Q60 35 PTZ Dome Network Camer a System Options System Log - Provides information about system e vents. Access Log - Lists all failed attempts to access the product. The Access Log can also be con fi gured to list all connections to the product (see below).

AXIS Q60 35 PTZ Dome Network Camer a Tr oubleshooting Troubleshooting Checking the fi rmware Firmware is softwar e that determines the f unctionality of networ k devices. One of your fi rst actions when troubleshooting a problem should be to check the current fi rmware vers ion.
