2 INTRODUCTION Thank y ou for purchasing a 2050 MaxiMixer . The purpose of the MaxiMixer is to give the agricultural industry the ability to incor porate long stem roughage into the total mixed ration without additional grinders or processors.
3 USING YOUR MaxiMixer READ CAREFULLY SETUP 1. W hen y ou are delivered y our new MaxiMixer from the factory , it is not immediately necessary to check t he machine for bearing lubricat ion or ch ain tightness, as these it ems have been factory serviced.
4 4. The MaxiMixer has al so been suppl ied to y ou wit h a complete scale system. Read and understand the scale manual and fa miliarize y ourself with its di fferent functions.
5 OPERATION 1. Before attempting to fill the mix er, make sure that the discharg e door is completely closed, the chute is in the up position, and the mixing chamber is free of any foreign objects. IMPORTANT ! IF THE DISCHARGE DOOR IS LEFT OPEN DURING MIXING , FEED MAY BECOME TIGHT LY PLUGGED AGAINST THE CONVEYOR AND DAMAGE IT.
6 6. Proper loading procedure involve s loading smaller quantity ingred ients in the center of the mixer first, to cover up the mixing paddles. This will preve nt the agg ressive pa ddles from grabbing too much hay before it can be first adequately processed by the knives on the auger flighting .
7 8. Normal mixing time is form 1 to 2 minutes afte r the last ing redient has bee n added. I t is necessary to run the MaxiMixer at 1600 ENGINE RPM during mixing of ing redients such as long stem hay or ensilag e. I t is not necessary to run the machine while loading.
8 MAINTENANCE Your MaxiMix er will be delivered, fully lubricated and set up to all drive component installation specifications. During the break in of y our ne w MaxiMixer, it is recommended that a complete daily inspection of all drive co mponents be carried out.
9 F. The shear sprocket uses one 5/8 X 3-1/ 2” NF grade 8 bolt. Any change from this specification will void wa rranty . POW ER T AKE OFF S HAFT S G. Keep PTO shaft covers in place at all times. Keep universal joints greased. The PTO shear uses a 5/16 x 2" NF g rade 5 bolt.
