About this document This manual is intended for administrators and users of the AXIS Q193 1–E PT Mount Thermal Network Camera, and is applicable to rmware 5.55 and later . It includes instructions for using and managing the product on your network.

AXIS Q1931–E PT Mount Ther mal Network Camera Set Up the Product Set Up the Product The Axis product can be congured by users with administrator or operator rights. To open the product’s Setup pages, click Setup in the top right-hand corner of the Live View page.

When dening a web link do not remove the 'http://' from the URL address.

Shock detection is used, for example, to generate an alarm if the product is hit by an object. Use the Shock sensitivity slider to adjust the sensitivity level at which the product should send an alarm upon being hit.

AXIS Q1931–E PT Mount Ther mal Network Camera Applications Applications Third party applications can be uploaded to and installed on the Axis product. Applications add functionality to the product, for example video analytics and intelligent video capabilities such as recognition, tracking, detection and counting.

For information about factory default, see Reset to Factory Default Settings . AXIS Cross Line Detection The application AXIS Cross Line Detection is included in this product.

The direction is represented by a blue arrow . Objects crossing the line, in the direction of the arrow , will trigger the alarm or event.

AXIS Q1931–E PT Mount Ther mal Network Camera Events Events The Event pages allow you to congure the Axis product to perform actions when different events occur . For example, the product can start a recording or send an email notication when motion is detected.

AXIS Q1931–E PT Mount Ther mal Network Camera Events • PTZ Control - Preset P osition – Go to a preset position. • Record Video – Record video to a selected storage. • Send Images – Send images to a recipient. • Send Notications – Send a notication message to a recipient.
AXIS Q1931–E PT Mount Ther mal Network Camera Events Schedules Schedules can be used as action rule triggers or as additional conditions, for example to record video if motion is detected outside ofce hours. Use one of the predened schedules or create a new schedule as described below .

AXIS Q1931–E PT Mount Ther mal Network Camera Languages Languages Multiple languages can be installed in the Axis product. All web pages including the online help will be displayed in the selected language. T o switch languages, go to Setup > Languages and rst upload the new language le.
AXIS Q1931–E PT Mount Ther mal Network Camera System Options System Options Security Users User access control is enabled by default and can be congured under System Options > Security > Users . An administrator can set up other users by giving them user names and passwords.
AXIS Q1931–E PT Mount Ther mal Network Camera System Options IEEE 802.1X IEEE 802.1X is a standard for port-based Network Admission Control providing secure authentication of wired and wireless network devices. IEEE 80 2.1X is based on EAP (Extensible Authentication Protocol).
