Pump is equipped with an appro ved 3-conduc- tor cord and 3-pr ong, grounding-type plug. T o reduce the risk of electric shoc k, connect it to a properl y grounded, grounding-type r eceptacle.

When pumping from a well or stream, raise the inlet hose a few inches off the bottom to avoid sucking in sand, silt or pebbles (which can disable the impeller).
