2 Thanks to the new optical system based on three chip DMD™, the HT 500 LINK allows to take advantage fr om DLP™ techno- logy , the T exas Instruments technology .
3 Prior to switching on the projector please read each chapter of this manual car efully as this manual provides basic instructions for using the projector . The installation of the lamp assembly , preliminary adjustments and pr ocedures that necessitate the r emoval of the top cover , must be carried out by authorised, trained technicians.

9 4 INST ALLA TION POSITIONING THE TWO UNITS The HT500LINK system consists of two separate units (the DigiOptic™ Image Processor and the Projector), each of which is equipped with a power cable; the two units are inter connected by a 20 m fibre optic cable.

11 T o activate an electric motorised screen a 12 V olt output is provided at the rear of the DigiOptic™ Image Pr ocessor . This can be connected to a screen interface unit, which can be supplied by screen manufactur ers (Fig.

13 DVI-D 1 1 This input allows you to advantage from the quality of the digital images . If your source is equipped with a DVI-D output, YCrCb or RGB connect it to this input to exploit the quality of the HT500LINK system. HDMI 12 With this input it is possible to integrate the optimal quality of a digital image with a multichannel audio signal .

15 The HT500LINK system consists of the Pr ojector and the Di- giOptic™ Image Processor (which is also the system contr ol centre). The DigiOptic™ Image Processor sends commands to the Proje ctor and recei ves operating status information from the Pr ojecto r and funct ion comma nds fr om the user .

17 7 REMOTE CONTROL The remote control transmits commands to the system by infrared signals. Ther e are thr ee infra re d senso rs, one at the fr ont of the Pro ject or , one at the rear of the Pr ojector and one on the front panel of the DigiOptic™ Image Processor .

20 the pictur e colour intensity . When set to zer o, colour images will be shown in black and white. Increasing the value, try to find the point at which the colours look natural: suitable refer en - ces include skin tones and grass in landscape shots.
21 IMAGE This menu features adjustments relating to picture position, aspect ratio, etc. ASPECT This adjustment allows you to change the dimensions and aspect ratio (relationship between width and height) of the displayed image. Ther e are five preset aspects available and three personalised aspects (with user -settable parameters).
22 POSITION Use this adjustment to position the image vertically and ho- rizontally . Determines the aspect ratio of the projected image. These paramet ers do not normally requ ire adjus tment because the system checks the input signal and automatically sets the most suitable values.
23 HORIZONT AL/VERTICAL KEYSTONE T o obtain maximum quality of the projected image, we recom- mend the installati on of the proj ector on a level platform parallel and central to the screen. Adjust the feet under neath to obtain a level position, lining up the base of the pr ojected image to the base of the pr ojection screen (Fig.
