1 Intr oduction The Lumis 3D-S is a high-end compact 3-chip DLP 3D single unit pr ojector that utiliz es SIM2’ s stat e-of-the-art optical technologies t o produce images w ith ex ceptional black level and con tras t performance.

This technique achie ves channel separ ation using Xpand active shut ter glasses. • Active shut ter glasses turn on and off in r apid succession and s top light re ach - ing your ey es.

Color This contr ol (also called Satur ation) incr eases or decreases the pictur e color intensit y . When set to z ero , color images are shown in black and white . Increase the v alue until the color s appear natur al: suitable re fer ences include skin tones and the gr een in grass in l andscape shots.
DynamicBlack This function impr oves the level of bla ck and increases the depth and the de tail of the image especially in parts with low and medium brightness. DynamicBlack regula tes light based on the in formativ e conten t of the image being pr ojected.
• Lett erbox displa ys a 4:3 let terbox imag e (source signal with black bands abo ve and below the picture) i n such a wa y that it fills the 16:9 screen and maintains the corr ect aspect. This aspect ra tio is also recommended when using An a - morphic Lenses.

3D Glasses Selects the type of active shut ter glasses you a re using. Choose: • SIM2 (the def ault setting) when y ou are using the 3D glasses (103-S) and the 3D emitt er (E103-S) provided with the pr ojector • Universal if y ou are using the optional Xpand Universal glasses (X103) a nd Xpand 3D emit ter (AE110).
