- 2 - COFFEE MAKER Safety ins tructions Risk of electrocution! • Connect the cof fe machine only to correctly in- stalled and ear thed pow er sockets. Ensure that the voltage supplied through the pow er socket tallies completely with the details given on the appliance rating plate.
- 3 - • Do not mov e the cof fee machine during t he brewing pr ocess. • Remov e the jug f irst when the brewing pr ocess is complete and the filter has fully drained itself. Risk of stumbling! • Lay the power cable in such a w ay that no one can tread on or trip ov er it.
- 4 - • Remo ve all pack aging materials from the applia n - ce. • Place the appliance on a dr y , flat and heat-resis ta n t surface. • Place the glass jug on the heating plate in the appliance. • Open the filter holder 7 . • Place the filter inser t 1 in such that t he coffee exit 8 pr ojects through the opening.

Attention! • Never fill the water tank with a v olume greater than 12 cups of water . Nev er fill t he water tank with a volume of less than 3 cups of water .

Scale remo val The mineral content (hardness) in the w ater causes, ov er a period of time, a calcification of t he coffee machine. This calcification impairs the appliance in its function and diminishes the quality of the brewed filter cof fee.
