- 2 - Intended Use This Kitchen Radio is intended for use either free-standing or for assembly beneath a wall cabinet. The intended uses for this Kitchen Radio are the r eception of FM radio transmissi ons and as an alarm/timer , using either signal tones or the radio itself.

- 4 - Y ou are not permitted to open the appliance housing or • repair the appliance. If the housing is opened, you run the risk of receiving a potentially fatal electric shock and the warranty lapses. Protect the appliance against drip and spray w ater.

- 7 - Disassembly T o disassemble the kitchen radio, pr ess the tw o retaining • lev ers at t he rear of the appliance do wnwar ds. Then pull the radio out to the front and remo ve it. Unscre w t he scre ws and remo ve the assembly plate. • Setting up t he kitchen radio Do not set the kitchen radio up without the mounting plate q .
- 8 - Providing mains po w er Inser t the plug into a mains pow er socket. The display • r is illuminated, the time begins to run but t he radio is switched of f (Automatic mode). Setting the time If a subsequent button is not pressed within 15 seconds, the kitchen radio switches back into automatic mode (the currently set time is displayed).
- 9 - Press the button MODE SET - X -BASS j once again to complete the programmings. Kitchen timer 1. Press the button TIMER y . 2. Using the buttons UP/DOWN h / g , set the desired time inter val (a time span betw een 1 minute and 23:59 h is possible).
- 10 - 5. Press the button ST ORE/K ey Lock f once more. The time period is now sav ed. T o display the time once again, press the button MODE SET/X -BASS j . 6. T o recall the saved kitchen timer inter vals, in automatic modus press the button TIMER y and then, correspond- ingly frequently , the button MEM.
- 11 - 5 . If you hold the button A.O.T. d pressed do wn for 2 seconds, you can also, through r epeated brief pressing of the A .O.T . d button, select a specif ic weekday (e.g. only WED). The selected setting is indicated in the display r . 6. T o return to t he selection of w or kdays, w eekends or whole weeks, once again hold the button A.
- 12 - 2. Press and hold the button DOWN g for tw o seconds: the kitchen radio sear ches for t he station with the next lo west frequency . Repeat these steps until y ou have found a radio station to your liking. Programming stations Y ou can save 20 radio stations in the appliance.
- 13 - X-Bass Should you wish to hav e an amplified reproduction of the low er frequencies, press the button MODE SET/X -BASS j when in radio modus. Press this button once again to deactivate the function. Lock function Y ou can lock the kitchen radio so that settings cannot be al- tered b y unauthor ised people or children.
