- 17 - Operati ng with compu ter When conn ecting the player to your com puter, Remov able Dr iver, (H:) is shown on My Computer . It represe nts the flash memory of the player. Then, you can u pload, download and manage the file(s ) in the player by computer.
18 4. Read the following license agr eem ent carefully. If you agree, se lect Yes to continue. Otherwise, select No to exit. 5. Selec t Next to continue, the installa tion is C:Program Files Sigma Tel MSCN, a directory will be created.
19 7. Click Finish to continue. 3. Co mp uter Co nnection · Switch on the computer. · Switch off the player. · Connect the player and the com puter via USB cable · Press Play / Pau se to power on the player. · Ready will be appea red on the LCD display when the connection is established.
20 Caution: MP3 player must be POW ER OFF w hen connecting to co mpu ter . A fter finishing the USB cable connection, MP3 player can be POW ER ON safely. 4. Disconnect fr om the computer When there is no data transmiss ion, you can unplug the player from the computer.
21 3. Click OK to con firm 4. You c an remove the player from Window s desktop after the dialogue appear. Note: T he circuitry of the player and the computer could be seriou sly damaged if the USB cable is unplugged not following the instruction under Windows ME / 20 00 / XP.
22 6. File Transferring · From My Comput er , select the mp3 files for copying. · High-light the file. · Right Click the mouse and select Copy .
23 Software utili ties From the CD ROM, Installation CD . T here is a sof tware u tility bundling with the player: MSCN Firmw are Download. Warning: Some memory space in Flash Memory is reserved for Firmwar e Upgrade Featu res. T heref ore, u sable mem ory sp ace will be less than 12 8MB/2 5 6MB, where applicable.
24 · A MSCN Firmware Download box is sho wn · Press Show Details to se e the Cu rrent and Upgraded Firmware Ve rsion · On Download Options, there are two selections : · Click the che ckbox for fo rmat the MP3 Player Flash Memo ry. ALL DAT A WILL BE ERASED.
25 · Click Start to proce ss the firmware u pgrade. · Wait until the status bar is full · Click on Close button whe n dow nload is finis hed · Download is completed. Warning: All data will be erased after click the che ckbox. Please back up the data before downloading the firmware.

29 Troub lesh ootin g guid e The player does not w ork Check the capacity of the battery. One 1.5V AAA size battery is required. Check the polarity ( and ) of the battery. Note: You may use any 1 .5V AAA siz e battery, but alk aline battery tends to last longer.
