4 ADJUSTING THE FLASH HEAD Depress the Bounc e “Up and Down” Lock and Release Button, and adjust the flash head to the des ired position. ■ If appears on the LCD p anel when you turn on the flash, and if this mark blinks, then the flash head is ad justed to an incorrect position.
5 WIDE P ANEL This flashgun is equip ped with a built-in wide pan el, which can provide a n ultra wide 17mm angle of coverage. Slide out the wide p anel and catch light panel an d flip it down to cover the flash’s h ead. (Be careful to slide the pa nels out smoothly .
6 USING FLASH IN OTHER CAMERA MODES Shutter Speed Priority Setting By selecting the S mode of the camera, y ou can set the shutter speed from 30sec. to 1/X sync speed. When you set the desired shutter speed, the camera wi ll select the app ropriate aperture value for the background.
7 FP FLASH (Except SA-300) When you t ake a picture wit h an ordinary flash, you c annot use a shutter spee d faster than the camera’ s synchronized speed because the flash must fir e when the shutter curt ain is fully open. Th e FP flash keeps firing, while the shutter curtain is runni ng.
8 MODELING FLASH If useing the Modeling flash, you can ch eck the lighting and shadow ef fects befo re taking the pictu re. 1. Press the MODE button and select the mode. 2. Press the + button or – button several times to make the icon on the L CD panel appear .
9 BOUNCE FLASH When you t ake a photo with flash in a roo m, so metimes a strong shadow will appe ar behind the subject, if you point the flash head upwards or sid eways to reflect the light off the ceiling, wall etc. the subject will be illuminated sof tly .
10 WHEN BUIL T -IN FLASH IS US ED (SA-7, SA-9 SD14 AND SD15) 1. Press the MODE button to select the mark. 2. Press the SEL button to make the channel indicator blink. 3. Press the + button or – button to set the channel. 4. Press the SEL button to stop the indicator blinking.
