Basic information 1 Basic information SiPass standalone is a complete acce ss control system for one door an d up to 500 cardholders. SiPass stand alone uses 125 kHz proximity technology. For gainin g access, it is sufficient to hold the badge close to the reader.
Badge type 3 Badge type 3.1 User badge User Can be used in ”Access” mode only. Special Can be used in both, ”Access” and ”Ni ght lock” mode.

Security measures 6 Security measures 6.1 Missing tag For safety precautions the user is strong ly advised to keep records of the ID num- bers and functions of all badges and the names of their users. In case of loss, the specific badges can be voided from memory by entering the badge number on the SiPass standalone Remot e Programmer.
Wake up: Declaring the Program Maste r 7 Wake up: Declaring the Program Master When powering up a SiPass standalone for the first time, one selected ba dge must be presented, to be declare d as the Program Master. The Program Maste r may be regarded as a kind of master of masters; it will be instrumental in e nabling all other masters and badges.
Declaring the m asters 8 Declaring the masters SiPass standalone has 3 prog ramming modes which need to be processed before normal operation. When going through these mode s the first time, you can directly declare the re- spective mast ers.
Change Program Master 9 Change Program Master This procedure replaces the old Prog ram Master by a new one. The old Program Master is thereby voided from the SiPass standalone memory and the new badge is declared as Program Master instea d. Th is is helpful if e.
Add new user badge 10 Add new user badge Badges which shall be gra nted access mu st first be stored in the SiPass stand- alone memory. The Add Master allows new badge s to be added which, from then on, will be granted access. Any badge can be added, except Master badges a nd badges which are already i n memory.
Void user badge 11 Void user badge Badges which shall be de nied access must first be voided from the SiPass stand- alone memory. The Void Master allows badges to be voided whi ch, from then on, will be denied access.
Set Night Lock Mode 12 Set Night Lock Mode In night lock mode, normal badges will no t be granted access. Only Special User Badges are granted access in this mod e.
Unset Night Lock Mode 13 Unset Night Lock Mode Only the Night Lock Master can switch Night Lock off. When pres enting the Night Lock Master to unset Night Lock, acce ss is granted at the same tim e. This function is intended for perso ns wh o are authorized to enable acce ss for oth- ers, for example to unlock an office buil ding in the morning.
Add Special User Badge 14 Add Special User Badge Special User Badges are granted a ccess both, during Night Lock and duri ng Nor- mal Operation. Unlike the Night Lock Mast er, they have no effect on Night Lock status. Special User Badges must be add ed by us ing the Add Master while SiPass stand- alone is in Night Lock mode.
Declare Remote Program mer 15 Declare Remote Programmer To store a Remote Programmer in the SiPass standalone memory, first show the Program Master to enter Program mode, then present the Remote Programmer while in Program mode. After this, SiPass standalone will resume its normal opera- tion.
Void badge with a Remote Programmer 16 Void badge with a Remote Programmer Using a Remote Programmer, bad ges or Remote Programmers can be voided by their number.
