2 INTRODUCTION The Shure Model WH30 is a light y et rugged head set microphone. Designed for vocalists and instrument-playing vocalists, the W H30 utilizes a high qua lity electret-con denser car- tridge suitable for all applications where mob ility, comfort, low m icrophone-visibility, and high sound quality are required.
3 MICROPHONE PARTS The WH30 consist s of the following pa rts (see Figure 1). WH30 HEADSET MICROPHONE PARTS FIGURE 1 COLLAPSIBLE MICROPHONE BOOM The WH30 head set features a collapsib le boom for shipment and storage. Before wearing th e headset, unfold the boom by rot ating it awa y from the wireframe u ntil it snaps into plac e.
WEARING THE HEADSET Place the headset wirefr ame around your head so that the e l astic headband ba nd lay hor- izontally acr oss the back of your head and the ends of the wirefram e fit over your ears. You may position the e lastic headba nd either abo ve or below t he wireframe f or the great- est comfort and st ability.
5 ADJUSTING THE HEADSET • If the he adset fee ls loose o r uncomfor table, carefull y bend the sides of t he wire- frame to ma ke it tighter or l ooser (see Figure 4 A). The angle of t he wireframe ear- pieces may also need adjustmen t (see Figu re 4B).
6 CONNECTING THE WH30 TO A SOUND SYSTEM Wireless Ap plic ations (WH30TQG) 1. Connect the mini TA4F conne ctor from the WH30 to a wireless microphone trans- mitter su ch as the Shur e T1 body pack trans mitter. 2. See the user guide for your wirele ss transmitter and receiver system fo r adjusting gain and other parameters.
7 4. Rinse the windscre en in clean wa ter and dry it with a clea n cloth or paper t owel. Allow it to air -dry thoroughly. 5. When the windscreen is dry, slide it over the WH30 micr ophone until the retain - ing ring sn aps into pl ace.
