6 ABOUT UTENSILS AND COVERINGS The following coverings are ideal: • Paper towels are good for covering foods for re- heating and absorbing fat while cooking bacon. •W ax paper can be used for cooking and reheating. • Plastic wrap that is specially marked for micro- wave use can be used for cooking and reheat- ing.
7 ABOUT MICROW A VE COOKING • Arrange f ood carefully . Place thic kest areas to wards outside of dish. • W atch cooking time . Cook for the shor test amount of time indicated and add more as needed. Food severely overcooked can smoke or ignite. • Cover foods while cooking.

9 BEFORE OPERA TING Touch the Stop/Clear pad to: 1. Erase if you make a mistake during programming. 2. Cancel timer. 3. Stop the oven temporarily during cooking. 4. Return the time of day to the display. 5. Cancel a program during cooking, touch twice.

11 SPECIAL FEA TURES SENSOR COOKING Sharp's Sensor is a semi-conductor device that detects the vapor (moisture and humidity) emitted from the food as it heats. The sensor adjusts the cooking times and power level for various foods and quantities.

Cover with lid, plastic wrap or wax paper . Use covers such as plastic wr ap or lids with larger quanti- ties of more dense f oods such as stews.
