6 ABOUT UTENSILS AND COVERINGS The following coverings are ideal: • Paper towels are good for covering foods for re- heating and absorbing fat while cooking bacon. • Wax paper can be used for cooking and reheating. • Plastic wrap that is specially marked for micro- wave use can be used for cooking and reheat- ing.
7 ABOUT MICROW A VE COOKING • Arrange food carefully . Place thickest areas towards outside of dish. • Watch cooking time. Cook for the shortest amount of time indicated and add more as needed. Food severely overcooked can smoke or ignite. • Cover foods while cooking.

11 For most cooking, the turntable should be on; however the turntable can be turned off so that it does not rotate when extra large dishes, such as the popular 13 x 9 x 2 glass utility casserole, are used. The casserole should be placed on the turntable so that it is level.
12 SPECIAL FEA TURES SENSOR COOKING Sharp's Sensor is a semi-conductor device that detects the vapor (moisture and humidity) emitted from the food as it heats. The sensor adjusts the cooking times and power level for various foods and quantities.
