11 Putting the SR 2020 D into operation When using several transmitte rs simultane ously, make sur e that, in order to avo id interference, the distan ce between the antennas is sufficient.
12 Putting the SR 2020 D into operation Mounting only o ne SR 2020 D When mounting only one transmitter into the rack, use the blanking plate instead of the second transmitter. Hook the two rack mount “ears” to th e front panel of the transmitte r.
13 Putting the SR 2020 D into operation Connecting an external audi o source to the transm itter Connect the lin e output of the ex ternal audio source to the XLR-3F socket of the transmitter. Connecting a condenser microphone The microphone inpu t of the SR 2020 D tra nsmitter is exclusively designed for use with condenser microphones.
14 Operating the SR 2020 D Operating the SR 2020 D Switching the transmitter on/off T o switch the transmitter o n: Press the ON button . The display panel indica tes the device name and then switches to the standard display. T o switch th e transmitter o ff: Press the ON button unti l “ OFF ” appears on the display.
15 Operating the SR 2020 D Selecting a menu Use the / rocker button to select the “ Chan . mode ” menu: Press the SET button to get into t he setting mode of the “ Chan. mode ” menu. The current setting of the me nu is displ ayed.
16 Operating the SR 2020 D Exiting the operating menu Use the / rocker but ton to select the “ Exit ” menu and press the SET button . The standard display is sh ow n on the d isplay panel. Or: Press the ON button until the standard display is shown on the displa y panel.
17 Operating the SR 2020 D Setting a channel (“Channel”) To set a certain channel, proceed as follows: 1. Make sure that the transmitter and the receivers are set to the same channel mode (“ To u r g u i d e ” or “ Conference ”), otherwise no connection can be established (see page 18).
18 Operating the SR 2020 D Select the “ Freq uency ” menu. “ Frequency ” appears on the display an d the frequency of the current channel is shown. Changing the channel mode (“Chan. mode”) You can choose be tween the two channel modes “ Conference ” and “ Tourguide ”.
19 Operating the SR 2020 D Selecting the input signal (“Input”) You can connect either a condenser microphone or any other audio source (e.g. CD and MP3 player, see page 6) to the transmitter. To select the input signal: Select the “ Inp ut ” menu.
20 Operating the SR 2020 D Press the SET button to store the input sensitivity of the Mic / Line input. Displaying the phantom power (“Phantom”) When you activate the tran smitter’s microphone input (see page 19), the phantom power is automatically available.
21 Operating the SR 2020 D To deactivate the lock mode: Press the SET button . “ Lock On ” appears on the display. Select the sett ing “ Lock Off ”. Press the SET button to deactivate the lock mod e. The lock mode icon disappears fr om the standard display.
