25 English Connecting the transmitter (charging unit) The rear of the transmitter is fitted with two audio inputs: A socket (LINE) for connection to the audio output or the headphone socket on your TV, and a microphone socket (MIC).
26 English Only use one of the two audio inputs on the transmitter (MIC or LINE). Connect the power cable to the POWER so cket on the transmitter. Plug the power supply into a househ old electrical outlet. Pull the power sup ply unit out of the el ectrical outle t when the unit will not be used for extended periods of time .
27 English Where to pla ce the tra nsmitter Choose a suitable place near or on top of your hi-fi system or TV set. Do not place the tr ansmitte r close to metal objects such as shelf bars, reinforced concrete walls, etc. The transmitter features a convenient automatic on/off function.
28 English Using the stethoset receiver When putting the stethoset receiver on, make sure the operating control is pointing downwards and the letters are at the front. The stethoset receiver automatically turns on if you pu ll the earbows apart. After use, the receiver automatically turns off.
29 English Adjusting the volume Adjust the receiver’s volume with the operating control. If you are not us ing the stethoset receiver, store it in the transmitter ’s charging compartment so that the battery can be recharged (see section “Charging the battery”).
30 English Changing the transmission channel To avoid interference caused by the simultaneous operation of several transmitters, select a different channel on each transmitter.
31 English Adjusting the receiver channel First turn on the transmitte r (see sectio n “Where to place the transmitter”). Then put on the stethoset receiver - as soon as the receiver is put on it automatically tunes itself to the first strong signal found (normally the transmitter frequency).
32 English Charging the batter y Place the receiver into the transmitte r’s charging compa rtment, wi th the op erating control at the front. The left LED on the transmitter must light up. Charge the battery for 24 hours before you use it for the first time.
33 English Additional information The audio transmission techno logy used with t his unit is basicall y that of a radio. According to today’s scientific knowledge, the radio waves emitted by this unit are not harmful to huma ns or animals. Varnish or furn iture polish may degr ad e the rubber feet of the transmitter.
34 English WARNING : Volume up? - No! When people use he adphones, the y tend to choose a higher volume than with loudspeakers. However, if your hearing has deteriorated and you n eed to rely on an assitive li stening system, please avoid listening at high volume levels for a long time.

36 English BA 151 rechargeable battery By using a spare battery, you can use th e stethoset receiver for more than four hours of continuous operation. Always store the spare battery in the small charging compartment at the right of the transmit ter. The right LED on the transmitter lights up green to sh ow charging is taking place.
