2 Safety instructions y Please read these instructions carefully and completely before using the system. y Make these instructions easily accessible to all users at all times. Always include these inst ructions when passing the system on to third parties.
3 The Set 50 TV/Set 55 TV stethoset receiver system The Set 50 TV /Set 55 TV is a cordless infra-red stethos et receiver system with which you can adjust the volume of your TV , radio, personal stereo and ot her hi-fi equipment to suit your individual need s.
4 Set 55 TV product variant The scope of delivery of the Set 55 TV variant is identical to the delivery of the Set 50 TV but includes: y 1 RI 55 stethoset receiver y 1 TI 55 transmitter with inte grat.
5 Putting the system into operation Setting up the transmitter 왘 Place the transmitter so that there are no obstacles in the light path between transm itter and receiver. Note: A void exposure to direct su nlight. Di rect sunlight may interfere with the reception and may damage the transmitter.
6 Connecting the transmitte r to the sound source 왘 Plug in one end of th e connecting cable to the blue AUDIO INP UT socket on the trans mitter.
7 Connecting the transmitter via the RCA so ckets 왘 Connect the connecting cable to the ad apter (RCA socket) . 왘 Connect the red and white RCA connecto rs of the adapter to the matching red and whit e RCA sockets on your sound source.
8 Connecting the transmitter to the mains 왘 Connect the mains unit to the yellow socket (12 V DC ) on the transmitt er. 왘 Plug the mains connecto r into a wall socket. The LED lights up green. If the receiver is stored in the transmitter’s charging compartment , the LED goes off.
9 Using the system components Switching the transmitter on 왘 T ake the stethoset receiver out of the transmitter’s charging compartment . The transm itter automatically sw itches on. The LED ligh ts up green. Note: If the receiver is placed into the transmitter’s charging compartment , the transmi tter automatically swi tches off.
10 Adjusting the balance The Set 50 TV/Set 55 TV features a balance control for right/le f t volume adjustment. 왘 Use the balance control t o a dj u s t t he v o l um e s o t h a t yo u hear equall y well with bo th ears.
11 Meaning of the LEDs LEDs on the transmitter LED Status Meaning Operation indication lit gr een The transmitt er is switched on. The receiver is not stored in the trans- mitter’s charging compa rtme nt . off The tran smitter is switched off.
12 Care and maintenance Cleaning the system 왘 Before cleaning, disconnect the transmitter from the mains. 왘 Only use a slightly damp cloth to clean the units. Do not use any cleansing agents or solvents. Cleaning the ear cushions 왘 Carefully remove the ear cu shions from the receiver.
