15 Putting the RS 160 into operation Powering the headphones For powering the headphones, you can use: • standard ba tteries (AAA size, 1.5 V) • rechargeable batteries (AAA size, NiMH, 1.2 V , 600 m Ah) If you use rechargabl e batteries, you can charge them in the headphones using the chargi ng cable 햻 (se e next chapter ).
Putting the RS 160 into operation 16 Charging rechargeabl e batteries in the head phones Charge the rechargeabl e batteries for at least 16 hou rs prior to first time use. Subsequent charging time is ab out half of the previous operating time. The operat ing time is up to 24 hou rs.

Using the RS 160 20 Switching the headphones on and off Switching the headphones on 왘 Press the multi-functi on button 쐄 for approx. 1 second. The headphones switch on. The multi- function LED 쐊 flashes green, indicating t hat the headphon es are in enroll ment mode.
21 Using the RS 160 Adjusting the volume on the headphones 왘 Press the VO LU M E – button 쐂 or the VOL UM E + button 쐏 repeatedly until the volume is adjusted to a comfortable and undistorted level. Muting the headphones 왘 Briefly press the mult i-function button 쐄 to mute the headphones or to cancel the muting.

23 Using the RS 160 Associating the headphon es to the transmitter The headphones and the transmitter ar e already associa ted upon delivery. You only have to associate the headphones to the transmitt.

For information on how to associate other Kleer compatible headphones to the transmitter, refer to the instruction manual of the corresponding pro d- uct.
Using the RS 160 26 Listening with several he adphones simultaneously By default, the transmitter i s set to single-user operation. In order to be a b l e t o l i s t e n t o y o u r s o u n d s o u r c e w i t h s e v e r a l h e a d p h o n e s simultaneou sly, you ha ve to set yo ur transmit ter to multi-u ser operation .
