6 T ool Safety W arnings English Safety Warnings Do not drive f asteners close to the edge of the work sur- face . The workpiece is likely to split and the fastener could y free or ricochet and hit someone. Do not force tool. Let the tool do the work.
7 English Safety Warnings T ool Safety W arnings Remov e batter y and fuel cell from tool before doing tool maintenance, clearing a jammed fastener , lea ving work area, moving tool to another location, or handing the tool to another person. Nev er use tool if safety , tr ig- ger or springs have become inoperable , missing or dam- aged.
8 English Safety Warnings Fuel Cell Safety Warnings Read the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) for more inf or mation on contents of fuel cell. Fuel cell con- tains ammable gas and lubricant for tool. Use only fuel cells that are recommended by the manu- facturer f or your model.
9 English Safety Warnings Do not puncture or attempt to open battery case.. Do not immerse battery in water. Do not expose battery to water , rain or snow .
10 English Safety Warnings Charger Safety W arnings Do not use a defectiv e batter y charger , one that over-heats and/or smokes when plugged in. EXPLOSION HAZARD Nev er use battery charger in an ex- plosive atmosphere or in the presence of combustib le materi- als such as ammable liquids, gases or dust.
11 English Safety Warnings T o reduce risk of electr ic shock, unplug charger from outlet by wall mount unit. Do not unplug charger by pulling on cord. Do not attempt to use a step-up transf ormer, an engine gener a- tor or DC power receptacle .
12 English T ool Use Load battery , contacts rst into the tool. Push batter y fully forw ard into locked position. Use only SENCO batteries. Press down on the rear side of the valv e until it seats. When a fully charged SENCO battery is inser ted into the tool, the indicator light will ash green.
13 English T ool Use Open fuel cell door at top of the tool. With the metering valve stem pointed toward the front of the tool, inser t the fuel cell/valv e assembly . Pull feeder shoe bac k. When inser ting the fuel cell make sure the valv e stem is proper ly aligned with the small orice.
14 English T ool Use Release feeder shoe . T ool has a safety lock-out feature , which leaves a f ew fasteners in magazine and will not actuate. Push strip of nails forward. Press safety against w ork surface , fuel is injected into the combustion chamber and mix ed with air .
15 English T ool Use Before attempting to remo ve a jammed fastener , remov e fuel cell and battery . With nger awa y from trigger, remov e nail strip from magazine. Remov e jammed nail with pliers. Reload strip of nails. Reload fuel cell and battery .
16 Maintenance English All screws should be k ept tight. Loose screws result in unsaf e operation and parts breakage. With tool unpowered, mak e daily inspection to assure free mov ement of safety element and trigger. Do not use tool if safety element or trigger sticks or binds.
17 English T roub leshooting W ARNING Repairs other than those described here should be performed only by trained, qualied personnel. Contact SENCO for inf or mation at. Read section titled “Saf ety W ar n- ings” before maintaining tool. SYMPT OM Battery does not accept charge.
