4 Español English Français Description The GT65 is a self contained, fully portable nailer that uses liquid hydrocarbon fuel to power a linear drive internal combustion motor . The GT65 ignites a fuel and air mixture to produce the energy to drive the motor , which in turn drives the fastener .

6 Do not ov erreach. K eep pro- per footing and balance at all times. Proper footing and balance enable better control of the tool in unexpected situations. Dress properly . Do not wear loose clothing or jewelry . Contain long hair . Keep your hair , clothing, and glov es aw ay from mo ving par ts.
7 T ool Safety Warnings English Safety W arnings Do not drive f asteners close to the edge of the work sur- face . The wor kpiece is likely to split and the fastener could y free or ricochet and hit someone. Do not force tool. Let the tool do the work.
8 English Safety W arnings T ool Safety Warnings Remov e batter y and fuel cell from tool before doing tool maintenance, clearing a jammed fastener , leaving work area, moving tool to another location, or handing the tool to another person. Nev er use tool if saf ety , trig- ger or springs have become inoperable , missing or dam- aged.
9 English Safety W arnings Fuel Cell Safety Warnings Read the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) for more inf ormation on contents of fuel cell. Fuel cell con- tains ammable gas and lubricant for tool. Use only fuel cells that are recommended by the manu- facturer f or your model.
10 English Safety W arnings Do not puncture or attempt to open battery case.. Do not immerse battery in water. Do not expose battery to water , rain or snow .
11 English Safety W arnings Charger Safety Warnings Do not use a defectiv e battery charger , one that ov er-heats and/or smokes when plugged in. EXPLOSION HAZARD Nev er use battery charger in an ex- plosive atmosphere or in the presence of combustib le materi- als such as ammable liquids, gases or dust.
12 English Safety W arnings T o reduce r isk of electric shock, unplug charger from outlet by wall mount unit. Do not unplug charger by pulling on cord. Do not attempt to use a step-up transf or mer , an engine genera- tor or DC power receptacle .
13 English T ool Use Load battery , contacts rst into the tool. Push battery fully forw ard into locked position. Use only SENCO batteries. Press down on the rear side of the valv e until it seats. When a fully charged SENCO battery is inser ted into the tool, the indicator light will ash green.
14 English T ool Use Open fuel cell door at top of the tool. With the metering valve stem pointed toward the front of the tool, inser t the fuel cell/valv e assembly . Pull feeder shoe bac k. When inser ting the SENCO fuel cell make sure the v alve stem is properly aligned with the small orice.
15 English T ool Use T ool has a safety lock-out f ea- ture, which leav es appro ximately 6 fasteners in the magazine and will not actuate. Press safety against w ork surface , fuel is injected into the combustion chamber and mix ed with air .
16 English T ool Use Before attempting to remo ve a jammed fastener , remove fuel cell and battery . With nger awa y from trigger , remov e nail strip from magazine. Open front gate to access fas- tener . Remov e jammed nail Close front gate and reload strip of nails .
17 Maintenance English All screws should be k ept tight. Loose screws result in unsaf e operation and parts breakage. With tool unpowered, mak e daily inspection to assure free mov ement of safety element and trigger. Do not use tool if safety element or trigger sticks or binds.
18 English T roubleshooting SYMPT OM Battery does not accept charge. SOLUTION Monitor charging time to ensure battery has adequate time for recharging. Replace Battery . Replace charger . SYMPT OM Charger gets hot, makes loud noise or smokes during charg- ing.
19 English T roubleshooting SYMPT OM T ool operates properly , but f asten- ers do not drive fully . SOLUTION Change Depth of Drive setting adjustment feature . Check fuel cell and replace as required. SYMPT OM T ool operates properly , but f asten- ers are sometimes ov erdriven and sometimes underdriven.
