1 2 UNZIP MA TTRESS COVER Set cover aside. 14 POSITION MA TTRESS COVER Place on foundation or on existing bed platform. Make sure the holes in the bottom of the cover are at the head of the bed.
3 4 15 PLACE CORNER LOCKS Place one in each corner . Corner locks must go under the border wrap. INST ALL FOAM BORDER W ALLS Place long border walls along sides.
16 5 INST ALL FOAM BORDER W ALLS Place short border walls at the head and foot. Make sure the fo am bor der walls are connec ted sec ure ly and squar ely . The bor der wrap should cover the foam border walls. 6 INST ALL AIR CHAMBERS Place air chambers so the hose connectors face the head of the bed, and lay on bottom when inflated.
7 17 CONNECT FIRMNESS CONTROL ™ SYSTEM Place the Firmness Control ™ System on the floor at the head of the bed and plug in the power cord. Key Step: Pass the hose marked ”L” through the hole on the left side of the mattr ess co ver and connect to the left air chamber .
18 9 VERIFY BORDER WRAP POSITIONING Position the border wrap over foam border walls and air chambers as shown. Important Notice: T o ensure compliance with federal and state flammability requir ements, the border wrap must be positioned correctly within the mattr ess as shown in the steps below .

The caps are in the Firmness Contr ol ™ System box. Please store these in the mattr ess cover in case you should ever want to disassemble your bed and temporarily cap your air chamber(s).
Will my bed deflate if there is a power sur ge or power loss? No, your mattress will maintain its firmness. T o protect your Firmness Control ™ System, we do r ecommend using a surge protector . The mattress is losing air . What should I do? The air loss could be caused by either the air chamber or the Firmness Control ™ System.
22 For the best looking, most crisp appearance, customers should fully inflate the mattress ( 1 00 if using a digital Sleep Number ® remote). If going to full inflation does not help with body impr essions in the cover , the quilted top can be removed and shaken to r estore some of the loft to the fiberfill.
