Operation 2-3 Manual Use of the FM-15 Ambient Le vel Controller The FM-15 ALC m a y be used without the FM-14 Log Current Micr ophone. In this mode, the FM- 15 ALC becomes a le veler or limiter for manual contr ol of the sound system. The SPL me ter will not fun c tion but a l l othe r functions will wor k in the norma l manner .
2-4 Oper ation FM-14 Log Current Microphone Hookup The wire for the FM-14 L og Current Micro phone does not hav e to be shield ed. Use an RJ - 1 1 connector at the microphone. Wh en connecting to the FM-1 5 ALC use an RJ- 11 connect or or wire direct ly to the ter minal s trip mar k ed MIC ONL Y (s ee Figu re 2- 3).

If you already are a holder of Avaya LUALC, but have not read the manual yet, you should do it for the reasons described above. You will learn then if you properly used the available features, and whether you have not made any mistakes, which can shorten the lifetime Avaya LUALC.
