Remote Transmitter Description The G40RS is a state-of -the-art remote starting system is supplied with two 4-button R emote T ransmit ters used to control system operations.
G 40RS - Page 3 Adding/Replacing Transmitters T o replace lost or stolen tr ansmitters or to add additional transmit ters into the system, have all desired transmit ters ready and follow the steps below . Note : Up to four tr ansmitters can be programmed to oper ate the system.
Page 4 - G 40RS Remote Locking T o Lock the doors: 1. T urn off the ignition. 2. Press Button 1. · The doors will lock. · The parking lights will flash once. · The LED will turn on, to indicate the doors are locked. 3. 10 seconds after Locking: · The LED will start blinking.
Valet Mode The V alet Mode tempor arily disables the remote start system so the vehicle may be serviced by a mechanic. The remote transmit ters will continue to lock/unlock the doors. T o activ ate or deactivate the V alet Mode: 1. T urn on the ignition.
Ignition Door Locking F or added safety , the Ignition Door Locking f eature allows vehicles equipped with power door lock systems to automatically lock the doors when the ignition is turned on. Ignition Door Unlocking F or added convenience, this feature automatically unlocks the doors after the ignition k ey is turned off .
G 40RS - Page 7 Jumper Selection Carefully separ ate the top and bottom halves of the main unit case. Once the cov er is removed, the parking light polarity jumper will be visible next to the parking light relay . Set the jumper f or the correct polarity output as described below , then reassemble the main unit case.
Page 8 - G 40RS 8-Pin Main Harness Pin 1 RED WIRE : Module P ower Input (+). Connect to a constant source of +12V Pin 2 GREEN/WHITE WIRE : Brak e Input (+). Connect to the wire that shows +12V when pressing the brak e. The Green/white wire is a safety shutdown wire that must be connected.
G 40RS - Page 9 2-Pin Blue Connector: V alet switch port. Mount switch where it is accessible from the driv er ’ s position. 2-Pin Red Connector: LED port. Mount LED where it may be easily seen from either side of the vehicle. 3-Pin White Door Lock Connector: Door lock port.
