Page 2 - Astra 7E7 2-way LCD Remote Transmitter Description The Astra’ s 7E7 2-w ay LCD remote transmit ter is offering increased range and confirmation of an y activated feature. Page 1 Button 1 Arms and Locks* the system and when held for 5 seconds, activ ates the system’ s Panic f eature.
Astra 7E7 - Page 3 LCD Transmitter Battery Replacement Y our Astr a Remote T r ansmitter uses a 1.5 volt AAA alkaline battery , which will require replacement in time. Depending on the amount of use, the battery may last up to three months bef ore it needs replacement.
Page 4 - Astra 7E7 T o disable the auto activ ate function: 1. Press and hold Buttons 2 and 3 until the remote beeps four times. · The fan and clock will be shown indicating timer is activated. 2. Press Button 1 to disable the timer . · The r emote will beep three times to indicate the timer has been disabled.

Astra 7E7 - Page 7 Adding/Replacing One-Way Transmitters T o replace lost or stolen tr ansmitters or to add additional transmit ters into the system, have all desired transmit ters ready and follow the steps below . Note : Up to 4 transmit ters can be programmed to oper ate the system.
Page 8 - Astra 7E7 Remote Arming The system monitors 4 independent areas ( zones ) while armed: doors, hood/trunk, shock sensor and optional sensor input. T o Arm the S ystem: 1. T urn off the ignition. 2. Press Button 1. · The siren will chirp once.
Astra 7E7 - Page 9 Tamper Alert If the system was triggered while awa y , the LED will flash to indicate which zone triggered the system after disarming and turning on the ignition.
Page 10 - Astra 7E7 Panic Mode In the event of an emergency the tr ansmitter’s remote P anic feature can be used to instantly trigger the alarm. T o activ ate the Panic Mode: 1. Press and hold Button 1 for 3 seconds. · The alarm will sound. · The parking lights will flash.
Astra 7E7 - Page 11 T o Emergency Override the system using the code: 1. F ollow steps 1-3 above. 2. Press the override switch a number of times equal to the Disarm code, and continue holding for 10 seconds on the last press. · The system will disarm.

Page 14 - Astra 7E7 Mounting the Control Unit The control unit must only be mounted in the interior of the vehicle. Do not mount the main unit in the engine compartment.
Astra 7E7 - Page 15 S y s t e m W i r i n g 14-Pin Main Harness Pin 1 RED WIRE : +12V Battery Input (15A Fuse). The RED wire must be connected to a clean source of continuous +12V power .
Page 16 - Astra 7E7 Starter Defeat Connectors Using a volt/ohm meter locate the starter wire (normally a heavier gauge wire) at the ignition switch. This wire will show +12V only during cranking. When this wire is cut the v ehicle will be unable to start.
Astra 7E7 - Page 17 Entering System Programming T o enter S ystem Programming: 1. T urn on ignition. 2. Within 5 seconds, press the valet switch 5 times. · The siren will provide three chirps, indicating that you ha ve entered Programming. 3. Press the valet switch the number times equal to the S ystem Option you want to change.

Bypasses the open zone w arning chirps for vehicles equipped with a residual dome light circuit that remains on for a period of time after closing the door . 7. Auto Rearming Mode. When selected, the system will automatically re-arm 30 seconds after it is disarmed if the doors have not been opened.
