English vi Burn your recorded video clips onto a D VD (Windows XP) Introduced here is the pr ocedure to use the supplied D VD-ROM (Xacti Software D VD) to burn mo vies captured with y our camera to a D VD, creating your origin al DVD .

English x 3 Click on the [New Project] icon. h The [New Project] dialog box app ears. 4 Type a project name in the “Name” field. h Use any name that is easy to understand. 5 Click the [OK] b utton. h The screen to enter the data to the proj ect appears.

English xii 10 Drag and drop the data you wish to burn to the DVD to the “Timeline/Sceneline” field. h The data to b urn to the D VD appears in the “Timeline/Sceneline” field. h T o include multiple files, repeat step 10 as necessary . 11 Click the [Create DVD] tab.

Hold the camera high to get a great view of a parade, or swivel the monitor around to snap a photo of yourself. If you s wivel the monitor unit to its farthest position, the image on the monitor will be inv erted.

23 English CHARGING THE B A TTER Y P A CK Please charge the supplied bat tery pack befor e using it. 1 Inse rt the battery pack in the battery charger. h Inser t it in the direction indicated by the [ o ] mark on the battery pack. 2 Unfold the outlet prongs from the charger body, and plug the charger into a power outlet.

English 30 SETUP TURNING THE CAMERA ON AND OFF T urning on the camera 1 Open the monitor unit, and press the ON/OFF button for at least 1 second. h If you p ress the REC/PLA Y button f or at least 1 second, the ca mera turns on in the pla ybac k mode.
31 English TURNING THE CAMERA ON AN D OFF T urning off the camera 1 Press the ON/OFF button for at least 1 second. h The camera turns off . h T o tur n off the camera while it is in the shooting mode or pow er sav e mode, press the ON/OFF b utton f or at least 1 second.
English 32 SETUP D A TE AND TIME SETTING The camera will record the date and time an image or audio recording is taken so that y ou can disp la y them during pla yback. Theref ore, bef ore capturing images, mak e sure the correct date and time are set.
33 English D A TE AND TIME SETTING 2 Set the date. 1 Select “D A TE”. 2 Press the SET b utton. h The Set Date Screen appears. 3 Set the date to “2008/ 12/24”. h The date is set in the fol lowing order: Set the year → Set the month → Set the day .

67 English AFTER USING THE CAMERA IN W A TER After using th e camera i n water , wash it with fresh w ater and dry it complet ely . 1 Turn of f the camera, a nd close the battery/c ard compartment cover securely. 2 Wash the cam era with fresh water. h Fill a shallow basin with fresh water , and immerse the closed ca mera f or about 5 minutes.
