5 Saf ety Instr uctions All the safety and operating instructions should be read before the product is operated. Read all of the instructions given here and retain them for later use. Unplug this projector from A C power supply before cleaning. Do not use liquid or aerosol cleaners.
6 Saf ety Instr uctions Mo ving the Project or When moving the projector , replace the lens cover and retract the adjustable feet to prev ent damage to the lens and cabinet. When the projector is not in use for an extended period, put it into a suitable case.
7 Compliance AC P ow er Cord for the Unit ed Kingdom: This cord is already fit ted with a moulded plug incorporating a fuse, the value of whic h is indicated on the pin face of the plug. NO TE ON THE PO WER CORD A C pow er cord must meet the requirements of the countr y where you use the projector . Confirm the A C plug t ype with the c hart below and proper A C power cord must be used. If the supplied A C pow er cord does not matc h your A C outlet, cont act your sales dealer .
Connect the projector’ s A C pow er cord into an A C outlet. The PO WER indicator turns red. Press the PO WER ON-OFF but ton on the top control or on the remote control. The PO WER indicator becomes green and the cooling fans start to operate. The preparation displa y appears on the screen and the count down starts.
Basic Oper ation Press the PO WER ON-OFF but ton on the top control or on the remote control, and “P ow er of f?” appears on the screen. Press the PO WER ON-OFF but ton again to turn of f the projector . The PO WER indicator st arts to blink red, and the cooling fans k eep running.

A confirmation box appears and then select “Y es. ” Stored data can be called up by selecting “Image ” in the Image Le vel Selection on page 37 .

Display Blue back Press the P oint 7 8 but tons to switc h on/of f . When this function is “ On, ” a blue image is displa yed while the input signal is not detected. Set ting Captur e This function enables y ou to capt ure the image being projected and use it for a start-up display or interval of presentations. Af ter capturing the projected image, go to the L ogo select function and set it to “User .

Set ting Ceiling Rear Ceiling When this function is set to “ On, ” the pict ure is top/bot tom and lef t/right reversed. This function is used to project the image from a ceiling-mounted projector . Rear When this function is set to “ On, ” the pict ure is lef t/right rev ersed.
Set ting P ow er management Time lef t before Lamp is of f . Press the SELECT but ton at P ower management and this box appears. Select one of three set tings with the P oint 7 8 but tons, and go to the timer with the P oint ed but tons and set time with the P oint 7 8 but tons.
46 Set ting On start When this function is set to “ On, ” the projector is automatically t urned on just by connecting the A C power cord to an outlet. ✔ Note: • B e sure to turn the projector of f properly (see “T urning Of f the Projector” on page 1 9).
47 Set ting Secur ity (Ke y lock and PIN code loc k) This function allo ws you to use K ey loc k, PIN code loc k to set the security for the projector operation. PIN code lock This function pre vents the projector from being operated by unauthoriz ed persons and provides the f ollowing set ting options for security .
48 Set ting The PIN code can be c hanged to your desired four -digit number . Select "PIN code c hange" with the P oint d but ton, and press the SELECT but ton to display the New PIN code input dialog box. Select a number by pressing the P oint ed but tons.
49 This function is used to reset the lamp replacement counter . When replacing the projection lamp, reset the lamp replacement counter by using this function.
The WARNING indicator sho ws the state of the function whic h protects the projector . Chec k the st ate of the W ARNING indicator and the PO WER indicator to t ake proper maintenance. T op Contr ol W ar ning Indicat or The pr ojector is shut do wn and the W ARNING indicator is blinking r ed.

Maint enance and Cleaning Cleaning the Pr ojector Cabinet Unplug the A C pow er cord before cleaning. Gently wipe the projector body with a sof t dr y cleaning cloth. When it is heavily soiled, use a small amount of mild detergent and finish with the cleaning cloth.

Maint enance and Cleaning Be sure to reset the Lamp replacement counter af ter the lamp is replaced. When the Lamp replacement counter is reset, the LAMP REPLA CE indicator stops lighting . T urn the projector on and press the MENU but ton to display the On-Screen Menu.
