One of the two types of connectors illustrated at left is used. Their basic structure is the same for each. How to Disconnect Hold the resin connector cover, and pull the connector off. You cannot disconnect the connector by pulling the wire since it is locked inside.

10-5. Noise Malfunction and Electromagnetic Interf erence An inv er ter A/C operates using pulse signal control and high frequencies. Therefore , it is susceptible to the eff ects of external noise, and is lik ely to cause electromagnetic interference with nearb y wireless devices .

Tubing precautions Refrigerant R410A is more easily affected by dust or moisture compared with R22, thus be sure to temporarily cover the ends of the tubing with caps or tape prior to installation. Never use 0.0276" (0.7 mm)-thick copper tubing or tubing which is less than 0.

19 Using the 1-Hour OFF Timer Tips f or Energ y Sa ving 1. 1-Hour OFF Timer This funct ion causes the unit to operate f or one hour and then stop, regard less of whether the unit is on or off when this b utton is pressed. The indicator in the displa y indicates that this function is ope rating.
20 Adjusting the Airflo w Direction 1. Horizontal The hor izontal air flow can be adjusted b y movi ng the vertical vanes with y our hands to the left or right. When the humidity is high, the vertical va nes should be in the front position during the cooling or dehumidifying operation.
21 Oper ation without the Remote Control Unit Care and Cleaning INDOOR UNIT If y ou hav e lost the remo te control un it or it has troub le, f ollow the steps below . When the air conditi oner is not running Each time the OPERA TI ON button is pressed, the op eration mode changes cyclically .
22 Care and Cleaning (continued) Anti-Mold Filter The anti-mold filter behind the air intake grille should be ch ec ked and cleaned at least once e very two weeks . How to remove the anti-mold filter 1. Grasp both ends of the air intake grille, and remo ve it by opening to wards the fro nt and pulling tow ards you.
23 Care and Cleaning (continued) Air Clean Filt er The air clean filter remo v es dust and dirt from the air , and reduces odor s and smoke from tobacco. This air clean filter cannot remove harmfu l gases or vapor s nor ventilate air in the room. Y ou must open doors or windows frequently when you use gas or oil heating appliance s.
24 T roub leshooting If your air conditioner does not work pr oper ly , first check the f ollowing points bef ore requesting ser vice. If it still does no t work properly , contact y our dealer or service center .
