Battery Installation The battery cover is located on the back of the unit. Slide the cover in the direction of the arrow to gain access to the battery compartment insert 2 AAA(UM-4) batteries into the compartment.Make sure that batteries are positioned in accordance with the diagram located below batteries in battery compartment.
7 3 8 13 14 8 8 Setting Time When batteries are installed for the first time the LCD display time digit will flash indicating that the time needs to be set. The clock can be set with the power off but the lockswitch must be off. T o set time press Time Set Button for more then 2 seconds until hour digit flashes.
8 13 14 14 9 9 LCD will return to real time and Standby Set icon will appear in display . A buzzer will sound when set time is reached and will continue for at least 3 mimutes or until it is stopped by pressing the Power On/Off Button. Short T erm Alarm Set This receiver is equipped with a short term 1-180minute timer.
9 RADIO OPERA TION Antenna/Earphone Use The earphone cord acts as an antenna during reception of FM/TV/Weather Band(DT -300/300V/300VW)channels and should be extended as much as possible to improve sensitivity . Insert the earphone into the earphone jack for earphone operation .
V olume Control The volume may be adjusted by using the V olume Control Adjustment T uning the Radio Band Frequency Antenna AM 520-1710kHz/ Internal-Rotate radio for best 522-1629kHz reception FM 87.5-108MHz External-Make sure earphone or pig tail antenna is inserted into earphone jack.
WX CH.0-9 External-Make sure earphone or pigtail antenna is inserted into Earphone jack A.Scan T uning Turn on the radio by pressing On/Of f Button . Select the desired band by pressing Band Selection Button Press and hold the Tuning Control Button or for more than 1/2 second .

15 Note: If the Select Cursor points at the frequency the Tuning Control Up/Down Button will continue to change frequency within the band selected. If the Selector Cursor points at the position digits for the memory presets the Tuning Control Up/Down Button and will select the memory presets.
