10 Defrosting Your Freezer When ? For the most eff ici ent operation and minimum energy c onsu m pt ion, defrost the freez er when the frost on the f reezer walls is excessiv e or ¼ to ½ inch thick . Choose a time when the stoc k of frozen food is low.

12 Energy Sav ing Tips The freezer should be loc ated in the coolest area of t he room, away from heat producing ap pliances or heating ducts, and out of the direct sunlight. Let hot foods cool to room temperature before placing in t he freezer.
13 Popping or cracking s ound when compressor comes on. Metal parts undergo expansion and contract ion, as in hot water pipes. This is normal. Sound will level off or disappear as f reezer continues to run. Bubbling or gurgling sound, like water boiling.
14 WHAT IS COVERED LIMITED ONE-YEAR WARRANTY For one year from t he date of purc hase by the original owner, Avanti Products will, at its option, repair or replace any part of the refrigerator - f reezer which proves to be defective in material or workmanship under normal use.
