◀ ▶ ◀ ■ Auto T uning (depending on the country) Scans for a channel automatically and stor es in the TV . N Automatically allocated pr ogramme numbers may not corr espond to actual or desir ed pr ogramme numbers. If a channel is locked, the PIN input window appears.

◀ ▶ ◀ N Channel mode ● C (aerial channel mode) / S (cable channel mode): These two modes allow you to select a channel by entering the assigned number for each aerial br oadcasting station or cable channel. ■ Edit Channel Number (Disable / Enable) (New Zealand only) When this option is enabled, you can edit channel number .
▶ ◀ ▶ ■ Fine T une (analogue channels only) If the signal is weak or distorted, fine tune the channel manually. N Fine tuned channels ar e marked with an asterisk “*”.

N When connecting a PC, you can only make changes to Gamma and White Balance .

▶ ◀ ▶ ● HDMI Black Level (Low / Normal) : Selects the black level on the scr een to adjust the scr een depth. N A vailable only in HDMI mode (RGB signals). ● Film Mode (Of f / Auto1 / Auto2) : Sets the TV to automatically sense and pr ocess film signals fr om all sour ces and adjust the pictur e for optimum quality.

◀ ▶ ◀ ■ Br oadcast Audio Options ● Audio Language t (digital channels only) Change the default value for audio languages. N The available language may dif fer depending on the br oadcast. ● Audio Format (digital channels only) Select the audio format.
▶ ◀ ▶ ● Audio Description (not available in all locations) (digital channels only) This function handles the Audio Str eam for the AD (Audio Description) which is sent along with the Main audio fr om the br oadcaster . N Audio Description (Of f / On) : T ur n the audio description function on or of f.
◀ ▶ ◀ ■ Additional Setting ● DTV Audio Level (MPEG / HE-AAC) : (digital channels only) This function allows you to r educe the disparity of a voice signal (which is one of the signals r eceived during a digital TV br oadcast) to a desir ed level.
▶ ◀ ▶ ● Dolby Digital Comp (Line / RF) : This function minimizes signal disparity between a dolby digital signal and a voice signal (i.e. MPEG Audio, HE-AAC, A TV Sound). N Select Line to obtain dynamic sound, and RF to r educe the dif fer ence between loud and soft sounds at night time.
◀ ▶ ◀ ■ Speaker Settings ● Auto V olume (Of f / Normal / Night) T o equalize the volume level on each channel, set to Normal . Night : This mod e pr ovides an impr oved sound experi ence compar ed to Normal mode, making almost no noise. It is useful at night.

◀ ▶ ◀ – Manual : Set the curr ent time manually. N Depending on the br oadcast station and signal, the auto time set up may not be corr ect. In this case, set the time manually. Clock Set : Set the Day , Month, Y ear , Hour and Minute manually.
▶ ◀ ▶ ❑ Using the Sleep Timer O MENU m → System → Time → Sleep Timer → ENTER E ● Sleep Timer t : Automatically shuts of f the TV after a pr eset period of time. (30, 60, 90, 120, 150 and 180 minutes). N T o cancel Sleep Timer , select Of f .

▶ ◀ ▶ ● Only available when the Input sour ce is set to TV . ● Pr ogram Rating Lock (depending on the country): Pr event unauthorized users, such as childr en, fr om watching unsuitable pr ogramme with a user - defined 4-digit PIN code. If the selected channel is locked, the “ ” symbol will be displayed.
◀ ▶ ◀ ❑ Pictur e In Pictur e (PIP) O MENU m → System → PIP → ENTER E ■ PIP t Y ou can watch the TV tuner and one exter nal video sour ce simultaneously. PIP (Pictur e-in-Pictur e) does not function in the same mode. N NOTE ● For PIP sound, r efer to the Sound Select instructions.

◀ ▶ ◀ ❑ Economical Solutions O MENU m → System → ENTER E ❑ Eco Solution ● Energy Saving (Of f / Low / Medium / High / Pictur e Of f) t : This adjusts the brightness of the TV in or der to r educe power consumption. If you select Pictur e Of f , the scr een is tur ned of f, but the sound r emains on.
▶ ◀ ▶ ● No-Signal Power Of f (Of f / 15 min / 30 min / 60 min) : T o avoid unnecessary energy consumption, set how long you want the TV to r emain on if it’ s not r eceiving a signal. ● Auto Power Of f (Of f / On) : The TV will be automatically tur ned of f when no user operation is r eceived for 4 hours.
◀ ▶ ◀ ❑ Other Featur es O MENU m → System → ENTER E ■ Language ● T eletext Language : Set a desir ed language for teletext. N English is the default in cases wher e the selected language is unavailable in the br oadcast.
▶ ◀ ▶ ■ Subtitle Use this menu to set the Subtitle mode. N The subtitle featur e does not work in Component or HDMI modes. ● Subtitle (Of f / On) : Switches subtitles on or of f. ● Subtitle Mode (Normal / Hearing Impair ed) : Sets the subtitle mode.
◀ ▶ ◀ ■ Auto Pr otection Time ● Auto Pr otection Time (Of f / 2 hours / 4 hours / 8 hours / 10 hours) : If the scr een rem ains idle with a s till image for a c ertain period of t ime defined by the user , the scr een saver is activated to pr event the formation of ghost images on the scr een.
▶ ◀ ▶ ■ General ● Game Mode (Of f / On) : When connecting to a game console such as PlayStation™ or Xbox™, you can enjoy a mor e r ealistic gaming experience by selecting game mode.
◀ ▶ ◀ ● After connecting the game console, set Game Mode to On to pr event poor pictur e quality. ● If Game Mode is On : – P i c t u re M o d e i s s e t t o S t a n d a rd a n d S o u n d M o d e i s s e t t o Movie . ● Menu T ranspar ency (Bright / Dark) : Set the T ranspar ency of the menu.

▶ ◀ ▶ Installing the Latest V ersion ● By USB : Insert a USB drive containing the firmwar e upgrade file, downloaded fr om “www .samsung.com,” into the TV . Please be car eful not to disconnect the power or r emove the USB drive until upgrades ar e complete.
◀ ▶ ◀ ● By Channel : Upgrade the softwar e using the br oadcasting signal. N If the function is selected during the softwar e transmission period, softwar e will be automatically sear ched and downloaded. N The time r equir ed to download the softwar e is determined by the signal status.

◀ ▶ ◀ ❑ Analogue Channel T eletext Featur e The index pag e of the T eletext service gives y ou information on how to use the ser vice. For T eletext information to be displayed corr ectly, channel r eception must be stable. Otherwise, information may be missing or some pages may not be displayed.
▶ ◀ ▶ ● 1 (sub-page): Displays the available sub-page. ● 8 (stor e): Stor es the T eletext pages. ● 6 (index): Displays the index (contents) page at any time while you ar e viewing T eletext. ● 4 (size): Displays the teletext on the upper half of the scr een in double-size.
◀ ▶ ◀ ● 5 (r eveal): Displays the hidden text (answers to quiz games, for example). T o display the normal scr een, pr ess it again. ● 7 (cancel): Shr inks the T eletext display to over lap with the curr ent br oadcast.
