9 ST ORING FOOD IN THE FRIDGE OR FREEZER When storing food in the appliance, follo w the recommendations below . • Allo w warm food and be ver ages to cool down bef ore storing them in the appliance. • Ensure that f ood is well-wrapped or co vered bef ore it is stored.

V egetable and fruit por tions should be no heavier than 2 pounds, while meat por tions can be up to 5.5 lbs. Smaller por tions freeze quic kly and the quality is better maintained when defrosting and prepar ing the food.
