04 Settings Accessing the Settings Screen 1. Select Settings on the Home screen, and then press v button. The Settings scr een appears. 2. T o access the menus, sub-menus, and options on the Settings screen, please r efer to the remote contr ol illustration below .
Settings Settings Menu Functions Display 3D Settings Select whether to play a Blu-ray Disc with 3D contents in 3D Mode. • If you move to the Home or Smart Hub Home screen while in 3D mode, the player will switch to 2D automatically . TV Aspect Ratio Lets you adjust the output of the player to the screen size and screen format of your TV .
04 Settings Audio Digital Output Lets you select the digital audio output format that is suitable for your TV or A V Receiver . For more details, see the digital output selection table on page 53. PCM Downsampling Lets you choose to have 96Khz PCM signals downsampled to 48Khz before they ar e outputted to an amplifier .
Settings Network Soft AP Lets you connect other types of Wi-Fi devices to the player wirelessly . Requires that you cr eate a security key which you must enter into the other Wi-Fi devices when you are connecting them to the network.
04 Settings System Device Manager Y ou can connect a wireless USB keyboard or mouse to the USB port on the rear of the player . Keyboard Settings : Lets you configur e a wireless USB keyboard connected to the player . | NOTE | Y ou can use the keyboard only when a QWERTY keyboard screen or window appears in the Web Browser .
Settings System Security The default PIN is 0000. Enter the default PIN to access the security function if you haven't created your own PIN. After you have accessed the security function for the first time, change the PIN using the Change PIN function.
04 Settings Networks and the Internet When you connect this player to a network, you can use network based applications and functions such as Smart Hub and BD-LIVE, and upgrade the player's software thr ough the network connection.
Settings < Getting the Network Settings V alues > Y ou can view your Network Settings values on most Windows computers. T o view the Network Settings values, follow these steps: • Windows XP 1. Right click the Network icon on the bottom right of the Windows desktop.

04 Settings AllShare Settings The AllShare Settings scr een lists your network connected AllShare devices and their IP addresses. Thr ough this screen, you can allow a device to access the player , deny access, or delete the device from the AllShar e list.

04 Settings Standby Mode Upgrade Y ou can set the Standby Mode Upgrade function so that the player downloads new upgrade software when it is in Standby mode. In Standby mode, the player is off, but its Internet connection is active. This allows the player to download upgrade software automatically , when you are not using it.
Media Play Media Play Y our Blu-ray Disc Player can play content located on Blu-ray/DVD/CD discs, USB devices, PCs, and DLNA compatible cell phones. T o play content located on your PC or on a DLNA compatible cell phone, you must connect your PC and the player to your network and download and install the AllShare network softwar e on your PC.

Appendix Additional Information Note Settings 3D Settings • For some 3D discs, to stop a movie during 3D playback, press the 5 button once. The movie stops and the 3D mode option is de-activated. T o change a 3D option selection when you are playing a 3D movie, press the 5 button once.
