5 Using a Line Le vel Signal • Be sure that the XP308i’ s Pow er switch is set to the OFF position. • T ur n the VOL UME controls fully counter clockwise to the off position. • Connect the power cable to an A C socket. • Using standard ¼-inch cables , connect a line level signal fr om akeyboard into the XP308i’ s LINE INPUTS.

7 10. Stereo Inputs RCA (channels 5 / 6 and 7 / 8) The XP308i mixer f eatur es stereo line lev el inputs using RCA connectors on channels 5/6 and 7/8. Use these RCA inputs for connecting the output of devices such as MP3, CD , computer soundcard, cassette play er , or any other line level device .

While speak ing into the mic (or playing the instrument), adjust the channel GAIN contr ol so that the “PEAK” LED of the channel lights occasionally , then back it down slightly . 6.
