Quick start 9 Quick st art Information on the SIM card To use your phone, you need a card called SIM card. 10 Quick start Switching ON/OFF When your phone is off, a short press on will turn it ON. When the phone is ON, if your are browsing inside the menus, a short press on will come back to the idle scr een. When you are in the idle screen, a long press on will switch OFF the phone.
Quick start 11 First call Dial the number you want to ring. Press . During the call , the call i n progress icon fl ashes on screen and tones may indicat e the establishment of the call. While a call is connecting, the phone icon is flashing. You can adjust the sound level (volume) using the navigator upwards or downwards.

Using your pho ne 13 Charging the batt ery Your phone is powered by a rechargeable batter y. A new batter y must be charged for 4 hours at least before being used for the fi rst time. It reaches its optimum capacity after a few cycles of use. When your battery has been discharged, the empty bat tery icon flashes.
14 Phonebook Phonebook Using the phonebook Enter the Phonebook menu, the contacts list is di splayed if you already get some (ot herwise, go to Storing a new contact ). When a contact is selected, an icon i s displayed in the t itle bar: contact stored in the SIM card contact stored in the phone contact stored i n the Fixed Dialli ng.

16 Phonebook Cont act options To display the various options, select a contact and press [ Options ]. Modifying a contact Modify what you want and validate then select Save once the modifications completed. Sending a message To send a SMS or a MMS to a contact (s ee chapter Messages ).
Messages 17 Messages From this menu, you are able to send SMS and MMS. M M S is a Multimedia Message Service, which allows you to enclose photos, audio files, and ot hers rich contents to y our messages; these messages can even be composed of several slides.
18 Messages Saving the message - Select Save if you do not want send the message immediately or if you want to send it several times. - Select where you want to save it (SIM card or phone). It is saved in the Draft s menu. Sending the message - Once the text entered, press OK or press [ Options ] and select Send .
Messages 19 Messages menu Inbox Messages are listed in chronological order, the lat est one being displayed first. The quantity of Not Read and Not Retrieved messages is show n. Not Retrieved and Not Read messages are shown in bold. Outbox This menu displays the messages t hat have not been sent .
20 Messages Options Choose one of the opt ions given: SMS or MMS. The SMS sending options are: stor e sent messages, acknowledgment, period of validit y (during that period, the network provider will try to send the message), message format, msg centre n°.
Messages 21 Group This menu displays the mail ing lists created in the phonebook. To display the dif ferent options, pr ess [ Optio ns ]. - Send message : allows you t o compose and send a message to the cont acts of the ma iling list. - Add mailing list : allows you to create a new mailing list.
22 Camera Camera This menu allows you to take photos and use them for dif fer ent purposes. For instance, you can send them to another phone or an Internet address, store them, use them as wallpaper s or screen savers. Multimedia 23 Multimedia Customization This directory contains the pictures and the ring tones alrea dy preloaded in the phone. Pictures To display a picture: - Select the Pictures directory, press OK , select a pi cture and press OK . or - Select the Pictures directory, select [ Options ], Select , select a picture and press OK.
24 Multimedia USB key This directory contains all the multi media objects downloaded and the conta ct details copied f rom the phonebook. Downloading new multi media objects Pressing OK after having selected More Pictures or More Sounds allows you t o connect to the WAP service to download new pictures or ring tones.
Music player 25 Music player This menu allows you t o listen to musics i n a contiuous way li ke a portable music player. If you do not have any music in memory, use WAP to download some or connect your phone t o a computer (see chapter Multimedia ). Two tabs are displayed: - Player : allows you to listen to musics.
26 WAP WA P WAP (Wireless Applicat ion Protocol): a pr otocol that translat es the Internet language into WML and HTML l anguages that can be read by a phone.
WAP 27 W AP Logging on The connection to a WAP service on the GPRS network is not cut if an incomin g call is received. You can answer th e call. If you are logging onto t he GSM or GPRS network, the @ symbol flashes, the metering of t he cost of the call start s as soon as it stops flashing.
28 Games Games Your SAGEM mobile phone gives you the abil ity to download applications an d games to be executed on your phone thanks to the built-in Java™ engine.
Applicatio ns 29 Applications Alarm This menu allows you to set and activate the alarm. The alarm works even when the phone is switched off. Applications (See chapter Games ). Tim er This menu is used to set and activate t he timer. The alarm icon appears on the idle screen.
30 Applications Converter This menu allows you to convert one currency to another. Enter a value and press the navigator upwards to convert fr om one currency to another, or downwards to convert back.
Applicatio ns 31 Organizer This menu gives you access to your diary and ge t to a day, week, month or specific date. I t lets you add events, access the global actions for all the events and manage them by event category. Calendar menu This menu lets you add events, manage events by categor y, see the available memory and delete all the events.
32 Settings Settings Phone Silent mode This menu allows you to switch to Silen t mode. Silent mode can also be accessed via the idle screen by holding down the # key. When the phone is in sil ent mode, thi s relevant icon appear s on the idle screen. In this mode, the ring tone will not funct ion, except for the alarm clock.
Settings 33 Date/Time Set Date/Time This menu allows you t o set the date and time of your phone. Automatic update This menu allows you to choose manual or automat ic updating of date and ti me (after switch off of your phone or when going abroad for instance) (service depending on the operator ).
34 Settings Screensaver This menu allows you to display an animation when the phone is in standby mode. - No screensaver: select Normal screen . - Several screensavers in a random way: select Slide Show .
Settings 35 Calls The Calls menu allows you to manage all the calls funct ions (call forward, displayi ng numbers, call waiting, voicemail number, etc.). Call forward Depending on your subscription, this service allows you to forward incoming calls t o a different number or to the voice mailbox .
36 Settings Auto re dial This menu allows you to call back a caller you have not managed to reach. You can set the redial function to inactive, on request or systemati c. If you choose On demand , your phone will offer to r edial your caller aut omatically if his number is busy.
