9 ASSEMBL Y UNP ACKING This product r equir es assembly . Carefully r emove the product and any accessories from the box. Make sure that all items listed in the packing list are included. Inspect the product carefully to make sure no breakage or damage occurred during shipping.

Always stop the engine befor e opening the vacuum door or in- stalling/changing tubes. Do not put hands or any other object into the vacuum tubes while they are installed on the unit.

13 enGine SWiTch OPERA TION ST ARTING AND STOPPING See Figures 9 - 10. Sta rti ng th e pr od uct dif fe rs de pen din g on whe th er the engi ne is cold or warm. Blower should be on a flat, bare surface for starting. T o start an engine that is cold or has run dry: Fill the fuel tank, if necessary.
14 T o keep from scattering debris, blow around the outer edges of a debris pile. Never blow directly into the center of a pile. Operate power equipment at reasonable hours only - not early in the morning or late at night when people might be disturbed.

16 MAINTENANCE CLEANING THE AIR FIL TER SCREEN See Figure 15 - 16. For proper performance and long life, keep the air filter screen clean. Rem ove the he x nut , wav y was her , fla t was her , and chok e dial cover. Brush the air filter screen lightly to clean.
