3 GENERAL SAFETY RULES Remove any adjusting key or wrench before turning the power tool on. A wrench or a key left attached to a rotating part of the power tool may result in personal injury. Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance at all times.

7 ELECTRICAL EXTENSION CORDS When using a power tool at a considerable distance from a power source, be sure to use an extension cord that has the capacity to handle the curr ent the product will draw . An undersized cord will cause a dr op in line voltage, r esulting in overheating and loss of power .

9 UNP ACKING This product has been shipped completely assembled. Carefully remove the product and any accessories from the box. Make sure that all items listed in the packing list are included. Inspect the product carefully to make sure no breakage or damage occurred during shipping.
10 Fig. 2 A T T A C H I N G H O O K - A N D - L O O P S A N D I N G DISCS See Figure 2. NOTE: Use only 5 in. hook-and-loop sanding discs which can be found at local home centers and hardwar e stores. Unplug the sander . Align the holes in the hook-and-loop sanding disc with the holes in the backing pad.
11 TO A TT ACH THE DUST BAG ASSEMBL Y See Figure 4. Unplug the sander . Slide the dust bag onto the dust exhaust on the sander using a slight twisting motion. TO EMPTY THE DUST BAG ASSEMBL Y See Figures 4 - 5. For more efficient operation, empty the dust bag when it is no more than half full.
12 OPERA TING THE SANDER See Figures 7 - 8. Secure the work to prevent it from moving under the sander . WARNING: Unsecured work could be thrown towards the operator causing injury . Pla ce the sand er on the wor kpie ce so that all of the sand - ing disc surface is in contact with the workpiece.
13 MAINTENANCE WARNING: When servicing, use only identical replacement parts. Use of any other parts may create a hazard or cause product damage. WARNING: Always wear safety goggles or safety glasses with side shields during power tool operation or when blowing dust.
