9 ASSEMBL Y UNP ACKING This product has been shipped completely assembled. Carefully remove the tool and any accessories from the box. Make sur e that all items listed in the packing list ar e included. Inspect the tool carefully to make sure no breakage or damage occurred during shipping.
10 OPERA TION CHARGING A COOL BA TTERY P ACK If battery pack is within normal temperature range, the red LED on char ger will come on. NOTE: If the char ger does not charge the battery pack under normal circumstances, r etur n both the battery pack and char ger to your nearest Authorized Service Center for electrical check.
11 OPERA TION CAUTION: When placing battery pack in the tool, be sure raised rib on battery pack aligns with the slot in the buffer/pol- isher and latches into place properly . Improper installa- tion of the battery pack can cause damage to internal components.
12 OPERA TION Fig. 8 APPLICA TION OF LIQUID POLISH See Figure 7. Apply a small circle of liquid (about the size of a half- dollar) around the center of the bonnet, followed by two more rings, each slightly lar ger than the previous one. After the first application, the bonnet will not absorb as much polish.
13 WARNING: T o pr event loss of control and possible serious personal injury , always operate the tool with both hands, keeping one hand on the handle.
