4 7. Never operate the machine at hi gh transport speeds on hard or slipper y surfaces. 8. Exercise caution to avoid slipping or falling. 9. Look down and behind and use c are when in reverse or pulli ng machine towards you. 10. Start the engine according to the instructions found in this manual and keep feet well away from the tines at all times.

See F igure 4. • Faste n the threaded eyebolt onto bail by sec uring from top wi th slot he ad screw , flat wash ers and lock nut.
7 NOTE: A seco ndary ca ble adju stment is availab le if you reac h the po int tha t additi onal a djustm ent is needed. Rem ove the belt cov er and move th e hex n uts at the other end of the cable towa rds the end of the casing. Th en readj ust the hex nuts at t he handl e.
8 To shift i nto forwa rd wheels and tine driv e, push forward s lightly on the ge ar selec tion h andle a nd slowly engage the cl utch contr ol allowi ng the gears to synchron ize. To stop forwar d movem ent and tin e drive, releas e the clutch control.
9 T o Stop Engine • Move thr ottle co ntrol to STO P or OFF po sition. • Discon nect sp ark plug wi re and ground to p revent acciden tally sta rting whil e equip ment is unattended . NOTE: After th e first ten ho urs o f operatio n, rechec k the cl utch adj ustme nt.
