4 SPECIFIC SAFETY RULES n Hold tool by insulated gripping surfaces when per - forming an operation where the cutting tool may contact hidden wiring or its own cord. Contact with a “live” wire will make exposed metal parts of the cutting tool “live” and shock the operator .

12 V ARIABLE SPEED See Figure 5. The saw has a v ariable speed control selector designed to allow operator control and adjustment of speed and pow er limits. The speed and power of y our saw can be increased or decreased by rotating the v ariable speed control selector in the direction of the arrows sho wn in figure 5.

SCROLL CUTTING See Figures 9, 10, and 11. The scroll cutting f eature is designed to per mit 360° rotation of the sa w blade so that intricate designs ma y be cut with minimum eff or t. n Set the orbit adjustment to “0”. n Loosen the base locking le ver as shown in figure 9.
15 ANGLE CUTTING (BEVEL CUTTING) See Figures 12 and 13. Be vel cutting angles ma y be adjusted from 0° to 45° right or left. Angles for cuts from 0° to 45° in 15° increments are marked on a scale on both the left and right side of the base .
16 PLUNGE CUTTING See Figures 14, 15, and 16. W A RN IN G : T o avoid loss of control, broken blades, or damage to the material being cut, alwa ys use e xtreme caution when mak ing plung e cuts . W e do not rec omme nd pl unge cutt ing on materials other than wood.
17 ADJUSTMENTS WARNING: Bef ore perf or ming any adjustment, make sure the tool is unplugged from the pow er supply and the s witch is in the OFF position. F ailure to heed this warning could result in serious personal injur y . BASE LOCKING LEVER ADJUSTMENT See Figures 17 and 18.
