Page 10 20 24 5 OPERA TION KEYLESS CHUCK See Figure 6. A keyless chuck has been provided with your drill to allow for easy installation and removal of bits. As the name implies, you can hand tighten or release drill bits in the chuck jaws. Grasp and hold the collar of the chuck with one hand.
Page 11 20 24 5 OPERA TION WRONG CHUCK JA WS DRILL BIT CHUCK COLLAR CHUCK BODY INSTALLING BITS ■ Place the direction of rotation selector in center position. This will lock the switch trigger in the off position. See Figure 4. ■ Open or close the chuck jaws to a point where the opening is slightly larger than the bit size you intend to use.

When drilling hard, smooth surfaces, use a center punch to mark the desired hole location.
