DIRECTION OF ROT A TION SELECTOR (FORWARD/REVERSE) See Figure 2. The direction of bit rotation is reversible and is controlled by a selector located above the switch trigger .
OPERA TION WARNING: Make sure to insert the drill bit straight into the chuck jaws. Do not insert the drill bit into the chuck jaws at an angle then tighten, as shown infigure 6. This could cause the drill bit to be thrown fr om the drill, resulting in possible serious personal injury or damage to the chuck.
OPERA TION ADJUST ABLE TORQUE CLUTCH See Figure 8. This product is equipped with an adjustable torque clutch for driving differ ent types of screws into differ ent materials. The proper setting depends on the type of material and the size of screw you ar e using.
MAINTENANCE WARNING: When servicing, use only identical replacement parts. Use of any other parts may create a hazard or cause product damage. WARNING: Always wear safety goggles or safety glasses with side shields during power tool operation or when blowing dust.
MAINTENANCE CHUCK REMOV AL See Figures 10 - 12. The chuck may be removed and r eplaced with a new one. Unplug the drill. Insert a 5/16 in. or larger hex key into the chuck of the drill and tighten the chuck jaws securely.
