Befor e Use - Please read all of the Instructions for Use and the Important S afety Guards carefully . - Remo ve all pac kaging from the iron. - Remo ve the soleplate protector . - It is normal for a small amount of smoke and a light odor to be produced the first time it is used.
W at er Recommendations T ap wa ter Rowenta irons are designed to be used with RE GULAR T AP W A TER (up to 1 2 grains of hardness). If your water is harder than this, Rowenta recommends mixing half tap w ater with half distilled water whic h reduces the hardness; or just use inexpensive bottled spring water .
Steam Ir oning W ARNING ! • Never ir on or steam clothes while the y are being w or n. • Befor e ironing for the first time fill ir on and allow t o heat. • The ir on should be allowed t o emit steam f or 1 to 2 minut es while pressing the burst of st eam button a f ew times to remo ve any impur ities.
