7 English 6 RR-969 Introduction Thank you for purchasing the RR-969 Universal Learn- ing Remote Control. The RR-969 can replace up to ten infrared remote controls, operating audio or video components from Rotel or other manufacturers. Key Features • Simple programming using your existing remotes to teach the RR-969 their commands.
9 English 8 RR-969 Basic Command Buttons This large group of buttons duplicates the functions on the remotes for your audio/video components. Each button can store commands for ten different components, selected by pr essing a DEVICE key .
11 English 10 RR-969 Sending Macro Commands T wenty of the buttons on the RR-969 (the 10 device buttons plus the number buttons 0 - 9) can store multiple com- mand macro sequences – for example, a sequence that turns on the TV set, selects channel 5, tur ns on the sur - round processor , and selects the TV input.
13 English 12 RR-969 Programming The RR-969 replaces up to ten remote controls, one for each of the DEVICE buttons. The AUD button is pre- programmed with the codes for Rotel Surround Sound Processors and Receivers. Rotel codes are pre-pro- grammed for the VOLUME UP/DOWN buttons for all ten DEVICE command banks.
15 English 14 RR-969 Clearing Stored Commands The CLEAR button erases lear ned commands from a single button, all of the commands under a par ticu- lar DEVICE button, or a MACRO sequence. 1. Press the recessed CLEAR button with the point of a ball point pen.
17 English 16 RR-969 Multi-language Mode T o switch from the first page of labels to the second page, press the recessed LANG–P AGE 1/2 button with the tip of a ballpoint pen. Press the button again to toggle back to the first page. The new selection, either “P AGE 1” or “P AGE 2” appears briefly in the display .
