Y our transceiver will achieve its maximum operating range when communicating with other transceivers in a flat open area with no trees or buildings obstructing its signal. Range may be up t o two miles under such conditions. Obstacles such as buildings, trees or mountains will tend to reduce the transceiver ’ s ef fective range.

-6- USING YOUR FR-500 T urning the T ransceiver on Pressing the PWR button (8) for 2 seconds will activate the unit. The speaker will play four ascending beep tones. T o turn the unit off, simply press and hold the power button for at least 2 seconds.

-17- UTILISA TION DE VOTRE FR-500 Allumer l'émetteur-récepteur Une pression de 2 secondes sur la touche PWR (8) met l'appareil sous tension. Le haut-parleur émet quatre tonalités ascendantes. Pour éteindre l'appareil, il vous suffit de presser la touche de marche/arrêt pendant un minimum de 2 secondes.
