CONNECTING MAINS POWER Please refer to the rear panel vie w on page 4. The moulded IEC connector of the sup plied mains lead should be plugge d into the socket (5) on the rear of the unit first and then plugged into the mains supply. The Mains power switch (6) is on the rear pa nel of the FM Tuner.
OPERATION C a s p i a n FM Tune r Please refer to the front and rea r panel views on page 4. SWITCHING ON The Mains power swit ch (6) is located on the rear panel of the FM Tuner.
SIGNAL DISPLAY For an FM station to provide good fideli ty its signal must be strong enou gh to trigger the tuner’s tuning and noise limiting circuits. The tuner must also lock preci s ely on to the centre of the broadcast signal. The Signal Display Unit on your Caspia n tuner displays both Signal Strength and Centre Tuni ng.
AUTO STORE FUNCTION Your Caspian FM Tuner has the facility to automatical ly tune in and store up to 25 stations. To activate the Auto Store Functio n: Switch the tuner OFF via the rear panel switch. Hold down the STORE button and switch the tuner on.
REMOTE CONTROL C a s p i a n FM Tune r The Caspian System Remote Han dset uses two AAA si ze 1.5V batteries. These are housed in the battery compartment on the underside of the handset. Carefully remove the battery compartment cover and insert the sup plied batteries in place observing polarity .

Pay particular attention to input and output co nnections. Phono plugs should be fully inserted- a frequent cause of problems is that Phono plug surrounds do not ma ke proper contact.
