Every R ocketboost network must contain a device called a manager , which dir ects network data tr affic and helps devices join th e network.

12 Setting up your wir eless kit Gene ra l Setu p Cautio n: Interference is possible from oth er devices tha t operate in the same frequency band. Y ou may have to mo ve the sender and/or rec eiver around a bi t to find an interference-fr ee location .
13 RF-RBKIT Connect an amplifier and surround sound speakers using a sender and rec eiver . Building a 7.1-channel home theater syst em T o build a 7.1-channel home theater system, connect a Receiver .
14 Notes : The receivers may be Rock etfish RF-RBREC Amplified Audio Receive r , Rocketfish RF-RBA UX Wireless Sender/Receiv er and Rocketfish RF-RBWS02 Wireless Outdoor Speaker , which need to be bought separate ly . A single sender can transmit to up to 9 r eceivers at the same time.
15 RF-RBKIT Replacing the battery in the remote c ontrol Note : The r emote contro l comes from the f actory with an insulator sheet isolating it. Please pull the tab to remove the insulato r sheet and enable you r remote control's battery . T o replace the ba ttery: 1 Squeeze and pull to release the batter y tray (1).
16 C onnec ting the sender Notes : When connecting two ste reo receiv er channels with a sender , you need to connect Input A and B at the rear pane l of the sender . Make s ure that y our amplifie r is capa ble of supporting 5.1 or 7.1 surr ound mode .
17 RF-RBKIT Tip : When using the speaker wire with exposed tips, unscrew the terminal and i nsert the expo sed tips into the termin al, then screw in the terminal firmly. V erify that the speaker wire is firmly secured by making sure that it does not pull out of the banana jack.
18 C onnec ting the sender to an e xternal audio source (such as an iP od® or MP3 pla yer ) Caution : Turn off your audio source players wh ile conne cting the units, an d set their volume level to minimum.
19 RF-RBKIT C onnec ting the sender to the A C ad apter Caution : Plug in the AC adapter only after your amplifier/external audio device is connected to the sender . T o connec t the sender to the AC adapter: 1 Plug the AC adapter int o a wall power outlet or the SWIT CHED AC outlet of your amplifier when you connect an amplifier .
20 2 Repeat Step 1 to connec t the left speaker . Note : Make sure the exposed tips of the sp eaker cords do not touch each o ther , and that they are fully inser ted into the gaps. C onnec ting the rec eiver t o an A C pow er outlet Caution : Con nect the AC power plug to a wall outl et only after all speakers are connec ted to the receiver.
21 RF-RBKIT Tip s : Slide the cable spool (pro vided) into the slot s on the back of the r eceiver fro m the top down. Before connecting t o the A C power outlet, wrap t he excessiv e cable around th e spool until the desir ed length is free .
22 Note : F our-channel lock mode sh ould only be enabled after both sourc es have been connec ted using Ste p 2 above. Once you have connec ted two re ceivers and s elected their corr ect sourc es, you c an pow er down the sender an d select four -channel lock mode.
23 RF-RBKIT 2 At the same time (within 30 seconds), pres s and hold the button on the receiver for over three seconds. The pow er-on indicator starts blinking quickly . After a brief period both LEDs should turn solid, indicating they successfully joined the network.
24 5 Adjust the audio level on the Rocket fish receiver so that the volume range is proportional to your other A V receiver channels. Activating high definition audio The system is capable of driv ing high definition audio to your multi-channel surround home thea ter system and remote listening zones.

26 2 On the non-hub sourc e unit to be adde d to the network, pre ss and hold the power button for more than three seconds. The power indicator begins to blink blue. The units will automa tically discover each other , link , and autoconfigur e. The indicators of the hub and the new source device change to solid green and blue respectively.
27 RF-RBKIT T o set up your remote control: 1 Remove the insulation sheet before us ing the remote control for the first time. 2 Aim the remote contro l at the IR sensor on the fro nt lens from a maximum distance of 23 ft. (7 m) aw ay and the maximum angle of +/- 30 degrees from the center line.

P ressing the button a second time will unmute the stream that is being play ed back through that receiver (stream means that if othe r receiv ers are picking up the same stream they will be unmuted too).
