14 Basic navigation A few simple buttons make it easy to view the FL O T V service, access program information, change channels and settings, and pla yback CD/DVD . Buttons on unit Buttons on remote (For DFL710PK only) Name Action Info • In DVD playback mode, display the main menu of the disc.

23 EN Set T V viewing limits If you have not previously set P arental Controls, the default setting is the low est rating available. 1. Select Paren tal Contr ols from the Settings menu. Confirm that P arental Controls is ON. 2. Select TV R ating Limit .

26 DVD/CD playback Star ting playback of CD/DVD • If watching FL O T V, pr ess the MODE button to switch to DVD/CD mode . • Press the DVD C over Open Swit ch on the top of the device to open the co ver . • Inser t a CD/DVD disc. • Close the cover .
27 EN • While playing from DVD , press (on the unit)/ (on remote control) r epeatedly to scan backward at 2x, 4x, 8x,16x or 32x. The playback speed will return to normal when the DVD is playing back at 32x. DVD Menu • When playing a DVD , the DVD disc ’ s main menu will appear .
28 Playback operations Playback Time and Remaining T ime • Press DISPLA Y (on remote control) during playback to view the current title number , total number of titles, current chapter number , total number of chapters and elapsed playback time for the current title .
29 EN Audio • P ress A UDIO (on remote control) repeatedly t o choose a desired language and audio formats during playback. • T his option is only available if the disc offers diff erent languages or audio formats . • Some DVDs only allow ac cess to this function through the DVD menu.
30 • T o repeat a segment between two points (A and B), press REP A-B (on remot e control) at the beginning of the segment y ou want to repeat. Allow the disc to pla y to the end of the segment to the end point (B). P ress REP A-B (on remot e control) again at the end of the segment.
31 EN Playing JPEG files After the disc is loaded, • Press or buttons to view the picture. • Press button to rotate the picture clockwise. • Press button to return to ROO T menu. • Press Z OOM (on remote control) repeatedly to enlar ge image by 125%, 150%, 200% or zoom out by 75%, 50% and return to the orig inal size.

35 EN Use the or buttons to input the Old P assword or the Default Passwor d and then the New Passw ord. Enter the new passw ord again in the Confirmed PWD c olumn. Press the button to c onfirm the change. The default password is “ , , , ” . This password is alway s effective even after you have selected your own passw ord and changed it.

41 EN V erify Signal Strength Select Settings and System Information to verify the signal str ength. DVD Playback Problem Solution No sound or distorted sound Make sure the DVD player is connected properly . Make sure all cables are securely inserted into the appropriate jacks.
42 No forward or reverse scan • Some discs have sections that prohibit rapid scanning or title and chapter skip. • Y ou will not be able to skip through the warning information and credits at the beginning of a movie. This part of the movie is often programmed to prohibit skipping through it.
